How longs the wait for FI

NickTurnon 02-08-2013 09:11 AM

I know of people that are selling the FI exhaust locally. You dont have to buy a new one. Many people are selling used ones with 1-3k miles on them

Grab one of those for a couple hundred cheaper and dont wait the 15 weeks wait

if you're getting a $2500 tax return, then i'd be adjusting my W2 so that they aren't taking so much tax out of my paychecks.

ok wonka, i know you said you wont have enough for a brake kit, but you actually do! you can get the akebono brake kit that comes with the sport package and even in red to match your car. ive been thinking about doing this myself since i have the non sport model. and on top of the sport package brake upgrade, you can get some stillen j hook or some drilled and slotted rotors for even better performance. heres the link and feel free to rep!:tiphat:

Hookers and Blow?

But seriously, Z1 Brakes, or get the FI exhaust. I have both. Love them both,.

Wonka2581 02-08-2013 09:45 AM

Well I'm def getting an FI exhaust no matter what! But them it leaves me short for the break kit so I SOL there.

If you're already doing the FI CBE you might as well just get their LTH's while you're at it. Combined they should run close to your budget.

If he wants to turbo at some point the headers are a waste of money

:iagree:

SC'd would still an option though.

Use the money to get something that's more dramatic. Brake kits won't do much for you because the stock brakes are functional enough. If you get a BBK it'll be cool, but then you realize it stops your car just as well since 95% of your braking is casual.

Wheels are the best because it makes a big difference on your car's overall looks, but you might want to give it a 1" drop to give a better stance.

CF hood is cool, but that's it. You already have a hood.

Forced Induction is the most dramatic and definitely improves the fun to drive factor.

Look into Vossens or just browse Craigslist

If you can't spend more than 1.5 on wheels then your stock ones will be better...
