I'd take the money or atleast part of it an buy/build a kick a$$ shop/garage to work on the Z.
|
The first thing I'd probably do is get it all in ones and jump into a pile of money.
|
Pay off your house...
|
Sell the Z, I guess you can get the GTR :-/
|
I myself would save some and pay off some bills. But I would take some of it and buy some goodies on for the car. We don't know what your situation is so its hard to answer your question on whether or not you should go FI. If I had that kind of money I would love to drop $30-40k on a fully built motor and TT kit but it would be very immature for me at this moment in my life. Might not be for you.
|
I would put a gtr engine in the z and go from there lol.
|
If it were me, I would not go the GTR route. Blowing a ton of cash on anything without a return in investment isn't the way to go in my book.
Instead... I would go this route: - Mod the Z (Boost, Kit, New tires etc.) - Take my significant other out to dinner at the best steak house in the area - Book 2 tickets (with significant other) to Kobe, Japan... eat at their best steak house - *to go with the above* Buy a new dslr setup and freeze some amazing moments in time - Or.. go to Germany and rent some supercar to take on the Nurburgring - put away for potential future rainy days... we've all seen our economy as of late -_- but.. it's your money, do what you like =) |
Or build the Batmobile.

Boost all the wayyyyy. :icon17: |
10k for fun money, 65k on house. without even thinking about it.
|
Only get a GTR if you can afford to maintain it, and make payments. I would not put that much cash all at once into something with no return. I would actually buy a nice foreclosure or short sale cash, and rent it out.
|
All I saw was TAXFREE...
For me, I would never pay off the House...At today's rates being 3.75%, you are borrowing the money for free after deductions...No paying the House..If you have one. Refinance NOW A paid off house is illiquid and you can get a loan for 3.75% and you can make double that Investing. Some people need a paid off home...With Interest rates below 4%, it is a no brainer....Re finance, or buy a Home with only 20% down. Second I would invest at least 30K to 50K in Dividend paying stocks and reinvest the dividends...At 7% it will double in 10 years... Then just for fun, blow 10K to 15K on your car if you want. And bank the rest for unknown futures costs... |

Other option would be to buy a nice beachfront condo somewhere and rent it out when you're not using it. |
First off nice winnings!
- TT the Z with all the best parts, components and tune (15K) - Put 10K aside to get top notch rubber tile flooring and other sweet items for my dream garage when I move next year. - Invest 25K or dump into my RRSP - Remaining 25K should get me a great 3rd car for winter beater/daycare drive duty. something I'll actually like driving instead of the current 09 Golf City I have. |
if you don't have anything to pay off and dont need the money for a family.
you can buy a nice car like a GTR or mod the Z. keep in mind one thing, if you mod that Z you better keep at least 10k around for something that might break. keep enough money to replace a engine or other major drivetrain components. |
