Well, this escalated quickly...

Long story short?

Driver in front of me in the left lane lost control of her SUV on a bridge in some ice and slammed into my car, impacting the left-front side and pinning the right side to the guard-rail (concrete). Those are the facts, currently, and here are the pix, no damage report yet. What say ye? Totaled, maybe the structure bent, general consensus? Speed was @40mph

Oh Damn! Sorry to see/hear that! I hope it's not a total loss.

Davey 01-15-2013 12:39 PM

It's totaled.

Nah, probably not... But you might wish it was.

Good luck man.

I hope it is. F owning a 2012 car with major repairs. :(

Ouch, good luck man. Hope this works out for you, hate to see posts like this!

Red__Zed 01-15-2013 12:43 PM

Would have to see underneath, but unlikely they total for that.

Unless your $999 headlights cracked.

R0bDC 01-15-2013 12:45 PM

Let me have those Nissan brakes? :)

Seriously though sorry to hear that. I hope everything works out for you!

Rui Z 01-15-2013 12:46 PM

Sorry to hear. I hope it is totaled, so that you don't have to drive a structurally damaged car. Good luck!

cheshirecat 01-15-2013 12:47 PM

Not totaled. See if you can pursue the insurance company with a decreased value claim. Good luck.

thought this was going to be an anchorman quote thread :(

Turned out to be something sad instead. Sorry for the loss

From the outside, it doesn't look too bad, but I'm no body mechanic.

Good time to get some aftermarket fenders:

I'll pass. I'm probably going to trade it as soon as the car is right-side up. Something about damaged goods and all. Looks like I am getting out of a Nissan quicker than I had anticipated, and not all how I wanted. :(

wheee! 01-15-2013 01:21 PM

Damage actually appears to be mostly minor/new fender.... should be good as new after the repairs...
