So I'm browsing autotrader looking for a dealership that may want to get rid of aftermarket wheels on a Z for a set of stock wheels. Anyways, I come across this gem. So which one of you made this sweet set of wheels...

I saw 2 2009 Zs last year that the local Nissan Dealer put racing strips on them.

I saw them when first they were put in the used lot, couple weeks later WTF. :shakes head:

Actually, this is what the original 40th anniversary looked like. Luckily, they fired Paul Walker and let the original design team take over, which led to the current black cherry 40th. That's not made up, it's fact.

Actually, if I hadn't purchased mine a month ago, I might have jumped on this. Although I would have ripped the stripes off and swapped the rims back to OEM.

The only thing thats worse than racing strips on a Z

is racing strips that stop at the hood

idk I think the stripe thing should be left for the muscle cars like camaros, the stripes are too wide and big, they need to cut it down if they wanna make it appealing, and maybe change the color. :tup:

I could see the Black Cherry with a matte velvet-black set of stickers I suppose. I'm all about the "subtle" even with the obvious. Off to Photoshop I go!!!

Nah...even subtle and ghosted race stripes are not my flavor. They do look good on many muscle cars though (Mustangs, Camaros, etc).

General speaking yes. But the racing stripes look fine on Miatas too.

racing stripes don't look good on anything that isnt flat. Miatas, camaros, mustangs, even old skylines are pretty much plateaued out from the hood to the cabin to the trunk. All flat top. too many curves = no stripes therefor 370z= no stripes.

Yeah simple and subtle is the way to go!!:tup:

the only other cars they look good on are Vipers imo.

Nice wing, why would someone do that. I think that car can fly. I bet the dealership was thrilled to get that beauty. If I was them, I would take all that stuff off.
