I stalk this forum but i don't own a 370z.

Anyways I was wondering if i'm the only one that stalks the370z forums but don't own a 370. I personally like this forums because everyone is very mature and I love cars in general and i think 370z is one of the best looking cars out there. Well anyways if you do state why your here and what car do you drive. I drive a EVO X GSR, and here on base I've only seen one silver 370z.

i dont stalk this forum but im always going on to see if there are any new threads in the general, pricing, and media... i dont own a 370 but i maybe will next year, but yes, the 370 is sick

rreign 07-09-2009 06:34 PM

I'm not gonna lie, I stalk the forum every day, sometimes for hours, lol, and I don't have a Z. I love the 370 and I have been thinking about getting one for about 2 months now. I have already put together a mod list and I have learned enough from the forum that I can help people out on certain things and don't even have the car yet.

It's also a plus that everyone here is probably the best guys you could meet and bs with on any forum. By the way, I had an RX8 but have since traded out to a Mazda 6s thanks to the wife b*tchn all the time.

gnarf 07-09-2009 06:52 PM

ive been stalking too for a very long time as well..if the Z came out a bit earlier..I def would have gotten it over the G37...but there are some parts of the day when I imagine myself in a EvoX with turboback, fmic, fuel pump etc or a jb3 135i with bms intakes and code3 ic...or a 370z with 3" dual exhaust and some stillen goodies...crap i jizzed in my pants...

debogard2 07-09-2009 07:02 PM

Don't own a Z yet but seriously considering. I'm 12 to 18 months away as I would like to square away a couple of bills and have a sizeable down payment. I'm here almost every day, learning, learning, learning! Love this site for many reasons. It may very well be the deciding factor in me getting one. AK...you got one hell of a forum here!

Scott@FontanaNissan 07-09-2009 07:15 PM

I personally think more people should do this BEFORE they purchase!!! There's tons of great information here on the forums...what people like, dislike, what parts are out, etc. This is a great source of information for future buyers! This puts you in direct contact of people who own the vehicle you are considering for a purchase.

definitely! this is where the real reviews and research comes in before a sound buy..

I can't say who can/cannot lurk on this forum. But it does bother me a little that "Honda guys" plaster their Hondas on this site. I used to be into the CRX w/ twin-cam VTEC swap, and my last Honda was a red EG hatchback w/ a H22A Prelude VTEC. I got out of it because it was immature in that cops would occassionally pull me over, inspect my car (even looking underneath to see if I had a cat installed, cuz if you don't you're in trouble), RICERs would challenge me at stoplights, and it was getting ghetto because some peeps were using/selling stolen motors, trannys etc.

There are myriad Honda forums, but I don't know why some people like to plaster this site with their Honda pics--STOP IT!!!!! It irritates me.

I don't mind if you're someone who's considering a Z and want to ask ?'s from those with Z's, but stop inundating this site w/ your Honda pics.

Hey Scott, I got my car from Fontana via Alex and Gus.

Excellent!!! I don't know all of the sales guys yet...I got hired on as the Motorsports Director as of June 1...and I've had my hands full getting our website up and running. Come by the next time you need the car serviced and say hello!

Scott@FontanaNissan 07-09-2009 07:39 PM

Feel free to call me if you ever need anything...I'm not in the car sales department...but I know how to make good things happen :driving:

I'm still on here a lot, but I used to lurk/be on this forum way more before I got the car. I'm still obsessed with my car, but know I have the option of actually driving it vs just fantasizing about it on the internet :driving: :happydance:

" I personally like this forums because everyone is very mature and I love cars in general" ......... you hit the nail on the head. It is refreshing to participate in a great site like this where opinions are respected, as well as the owner of the opinion. Like another posted, I started reading here before I got my 370, to learn, then joined about the time I picked up the Z. Nothing wrong with joining and participating before you purchase, or just participating in the fellowship if you never purchase......... and just like all here, truely love cars. Welcome!

John

I lurk here all the time. I'm saving for a nice down payment and read read and read some more to see if the 370Z is what I really want. There is always good info posted by the members here. Hopefully one day I can post my 370Z picture here in PG of course.

I don't really hate on any cars wether it's muscle or a civic if it can outrun my evo in a 1/4 or around the track and don't look like it just came out of a rice cooker it has my respect.

wolf41779 07-10-2009 01:48 AM

Im a lurker as well, and have gained tremendous knowledge not only about the 370 itself, but the purchasing experience that goes along with it. Im presently sitting on a nice loan check from Penfed that has no where to go because the configuration and color I want doesnt exist in here in AZ(looked as far as Diego and LV). Looks like I have to wait patiently until I can order a 2010.

Scott@FontanaNissan 07-10-2009 01:51 AM

Let me know if we can help you in any way!

JacksHereR 07-10-2009 06:23 AM

im a lurker, ive been visiting Nissan 370Z for months but nothings new??? I finally went back to Nissan cars, vans, fleet and services and the 370z is now listed, so I have booked a test drive.

Rans 07-10-2009 06:53 AM

<==BUSTED as a lurker too. I'm waiting, quite impatiently, for the Roadster. Having experienced the value of product specific forums for my motorcycle and my Land Rovers, I knew this was the place to start to learn the strengths and weaknesses, and the ins and outs of the product. I'm sitting on my VPP info from Bob Nash waiting for September while trying NOT to wish the summer away!

chrisw169 07-10-2009 11:34 AM

I have been a lurker on here as well. I can not wait until the day comes to where I become an owner of a 370, but I am not quite there financially yet. As soon as I am, that car will be mine :) I agree with just about everything that has been said so far though. And major rep points to you AK, this is a great forum that you have put together and I am glad to be apart of it...

dancetracks 07-10-2009 12:14 PM

I've been lurking and reading, and the more I read the more I dont want this car. Too much info on any car may be a bad thing. I've been readying about the WRX, 135i, Cayman, and 370z and all i find are problems that would stop most people from buying these vehicles.

Anyway, now I'm trying to decide whether to wait on the 2010 370z or buy the current model and live with the problems. The 370z just looks so cool, rides great, but has a harsh engine, buzzing noise issues that may drive some people insane, and may change color after a rain storm since the cheap paint will probably run right off the chasis. Hmmmm, I'll take it!

Saw one yesterday on the highway and I had to use my hand to close my mouth. This car looks so damn awesome.

One year model is not going to fix all of the issues. I'm still planning on buying an '09 if one is still available in a few months if not sooner. You have to understand, there are alot of picky people on here. One owner's problem may not be the same across the board with all 370s. Don't make your decision based on that. One thing about the car might bother one person and then everyone else it might not bother and or have an effect on them.

That's only because we ban all the pro-life/pro-choice, gun-control/gun-advocacy, religious/secular, American/foreign built only, Liberal/Conservative, left-handed/right-handed idiots from this forum! Now, what side of the egg do you suppose is the correct side to open? Big end or little end?

Test drive one and you'll see first hand that the engine isn't harsh and there are only a few that have had the buzzing issue and had it fixed under warranty. The paint is soft but no softer than many other paints (clear coat actually) - I suspect something soft is likely more compliant and its not like you put your coffee mug on the roof and there is a ring on the roof from the base of the mug (although I'm not condoning using your roof as a coffe mug holder).

I'd just hate to see someone miss out on this magnificant vehicle because of little itty bitty things being blown out of proportion.....

tvfreakazoid 07-10-2009 02:51 PM

Yea i'm a stalker my self. Although not as much as earlier this year. I plan on buying one sometime later this year or next. I go on here to find out any info on the Z. The dislikes, the likes and among other useful info and tips.

juan05 07-10-2009 02:51 PM

yea i also been stalking this forum for months now. i love it because everyone shares ideas and are mature about it also. i drive a lexus is 250 2008. but im planning to get my 370 in less than a month. so hopefully ill be sharing my photoof my z soon.

OutCast|Z 07-10-2009 09:20 PM

I just became a stalker, I'm getting a PW 370z as soon as I get back from my deployment.

Tim 07-11-2009 01:05 AM

me too but i would like to buy one next year and i plan on doing it

tbonesteak 07-11-2009 01:09 AM

stalker here as well. =) hopefully not for long.

KidD 07-11-2009 04:54 AM

I stalk this forum more than is probably healthy... Not only do I not have a 370Z, I don't even have a car at all right now. I sold mine before we deployed in anticipation of a new one when I get home in December. I figure since I've got nothing better to do in my off time I might as well learn as much as I can, that and talk to the wife on yahoo.

joshj808 07-11-2009 08:10 AM

I guess ill chime in too. Hi, My name is Josh and im am also a 370Z stalker. Im probably not gonna get one till 2010 as thats when im due to return to the US. Right now im just enjoying a life of no bills and tax free pay. Oh, i hate sand too.

minnichs 07-11-2009 08:24 AM

I lurk here almost everyday. This forum has convinced me that the 370Z is for me. I thought I had one this week but the deal fell through so now I will wait to become an owner.

need4speed 07-11-2009 08:45 AM

Don't have my 370 yet. Just here to keep abreast on the progress on 1st year quirks.
I'm getting mine in november. That is generally nissans slowest sales month aside from february.
Those months you get great deals.

blair 07-11-2009 08:52 AM

Joined the forum after putting a deposit on a 370Z. Canceled the order after I read about the oil temperature issues. Waiting to see if it is corrected for the 2010 model. If not I am likely to buy something else.

DaveyG 07-11-2009 09:50 AM

Big time stalker here. I'll get a 370z if something happens to my rsx. It's been a great car to me. Had a lot of american cars with nothing but problems, so it's nice to have something to depend on. But if anything happens to it, a 370z PG touring w/ sport and navi will be in my garage the next day! I almost want someone to steal it.
