lol.. I mean I kinda knew him and I know he was joking a little, so I let it slide. But I constantly get "Nice 350 man". But it stopped bothering me now. As long as they are complimenting, i have no issues with it. But it's weird how I will get respect or thumbs up from cars that'll hang with me like Mustang GT, WRX STI, Lancer Evo, Camaro SS etc. Never a bad attitude. But every time I stop next to a riced out Honda Honda civic that has like 140 hp, they always talk crap. I was Called a "pu$$y" few months ago because I didn't street race this Honda Civic at a street light :shakes head:

Because he wanted to show that overnighting parts from japan does make his car faster.

I agree with the honda thing, i don't understand how their minds work I've never met or talked to a riced out Honda owner. You would think they would be inspired by the Z? Are the jealous? Are their social skills are horribly broken as their modding ability? Who Knows.

Jeremy Clarkson doesn't like Nissan car anyway... :icon17:

Yeah, I love Top Gear, and I think Clarkson is hilarious, but he contradicts himself SO much, particularly when it comes to Nissan. The first time he drove the GTR around the track (after the Japan train race episode) and he injured his neck, he couldn't stop singing its praises. Then a couple episodes later (forget which one) he was buzzing around the track in a dark blue one (I don't think it was a Black Edition...) and he was pissing and moaning about how boring it is, and how "detached" you are from the driving experience, when he said the opposite a few weeks earlier. Guess he'd just rather spend $300k on an Aston with 150 fewer horsepower.

My wife still can't tell the difference between my car and all the 350's driving around. :shakes head:

That is when I give it a little rev and they hear this nice...waa-pssssshh sound and they will always get over one lane instantly.

Hmm usually from my friends/cousins, but they're only joking. They'll call it a piece of sh1t and then ask me if they can drive it right after :p

The only real insult I can think of was this from this guy who said "that car's not that fast". I was stopped at a light and he was passing by in a pick up truck going the opposite way. I was just like "wtf where did that come from?"

I've had " Jap Crap" and " poor man's Porsche" ....both jealous and ignorant comments in my view.

I think it is almost always jealousy in some form or another... they are under the impression that we, as Z owners, are douches because we are somehow flaunting this car, mocking them for being beneath us, when truth be told we just love Nissan and either can afford one or saved up to actually have one.

I never bought this car to mock or flaunt, I bought it because of the bang for buck and styling, and I came from a 350. Truth be told, since 2004 when I bought the 350 to now with the 370 Ive always had compliments from guys and a lot of girls, and always negative comments from guys in crappy cars (civics, scions, the like) or pick up trucks. But never have any girls at least to my face made a negative comment.

Did you come back with "yes....it does....any shade of Grey you want"?
