... After all, I believe all you guys were right
So I came back from my trip and... Amsterdam I saw 1 350z. Miami. In 1 day I literally saw over 7 350z out there. Crazy. It felt like every 3 blocks they had one. Muscle cars and Porsches ? Pssshhh. I lost count how many times I seem them. 370z ? None. I carry a lot pride to be the one of a few to have it heck yes I do. But as I mentioned, I just wish I knew at least 2 people that had it just so we could roll together to meets and drive around sometimes. That's all. I see more Lamborghini and Ferrari than 370z. Incredible. Anyways, I guess it is my location that it is dead with the Z scene. Either way. For anyone around NYC and NJ there's meets tonight and tomorrow if you guys interested. . . Thank you for everyone's input in this thread. |

I also feel we are part of a dying breed as well, especially if driving the car the way it was meant to be driven is a consideration.

350Z US sales per year...
2002 13,253 2003 36,728 2004 30,690 2005 27,278 2006 24,635 2007 18,957 2008 10,337 As you can see, in it's heyday the 350Z sold about 3X as many cars as the 370Z ever has. This is due to a lot of factors but mainly the recession hitting. The recession of 2001 was ending when the 350Z came out so slaes were booming again and sports cars were hot. I think I've heard a figure of somewhere around 250,000 world wide sales total for the 350Z.

I left for Fort Benning Ga. last Thursday to see my son graduate from his A.I.T. and traveled through 3 states to and from and I seen 3 350Z's 1 other 370Z and 2 300ZX's
I DID see about 500 BMW's 300 Camaro's and 250 Mazda RX 8's ![]() So like Zoren 370 stated and I quote : " I find pride knowing that owning a Z only caters to select few. " ![]() |

Actually it's more like the opposite. Poor sales numbers does not equal exclusivity by any means. It's not like the Z is some rare exclusive supercar or something. I'm not hating on the Z, I have one and I love it. It's just the truth.

i know of only two 370's around where i live, one of which belongs to a member on here and which is Twin Turbo'ed.
i see more porsche GT3's and regular porsche's than i do 370s round here, and for that, makes me lift my head a little higher and knowing the fact that i paid less than those porsche guys did AND i see maybe one 370 every 6 months if that. ![]() everytime i take it out, the looks and stares, Smiles and Thumbs up, Stories from people whom drove their old 240-280z's and how they wished they still had the car....all i get is unmatched compared to the "regular sights" sports cars. and that to me is worth more than say a 90k porsche lol ![]()

I agree with this, but it doesn't look like it will happen from the last rumors I've heard for the next gen Z. It will be smaller and lighter, but also come with a 4 cyl turbo to compete with the FRS/BRZ. Of course those are still rumors and nothing has been confirmed yet. Would be sad to see the Z step down in competition, but it would definitely boost sales numbers.

I see a lot of 350z's everywhere, I've only seen a few 370z's around my area which I'm completely fine with. One of my friends is trying to convince me to sell my Z and buy his Mustang GT 5.0, but I see mustangs everywhere. I like being one of the nicest, and more rare, imports going to the car shows.

I really can't see the Z going to 4 cylinder. The Z heritage is 6 cylinder and changing to a 4 would just kill it for most of the Z fans. Smaller car and if you had to drop engine size, smaller 6. The SX is the 4 banger platform.
