If the car is having trouble starting, i highly doubt that it has anything to do with the key fob..
Sounds to me like you need to replace the battery. Mine wasn't starting up as quick, so i got a new battery and the car starts up 2-3 seconds faster haha.

Technically you have to push the "Start" button 2 times to turn the car on anyways..The brake + button=Startup.
