On a serious note, I think Clazzio seat covers will do though. I don't mind spending a couple hundred bucks to not wear out the seats.

I think a worn seat looks sort of like worn jeans. It shows wear and tear and adds character. I think it will look good IMO.

I bought my Z used. The driver side seat is a little worn. Fits my *** perfectly. Thanks previous owner!

11,300 miles on a 16 Nismo, here is the upper side of the driver seat.

Take that to the stealership and get them to order you a new seat under warranty. This is 'premature wear and tear' on your seat.

Seats are sadomasochistic...they want you to hurt them...they hate you if you dont...:icon17:

After 70K miles and 5 years of my fat a$$ (up to 250 lbs) getting in/out multiple times per day, I have done a number on my driver seat. But nothing is tearing or even starting to wear horribly. The side bolster has a few creases in the fabric, and the upper bolster is starting to show a little wear.

My biggest gripe is the foam around the side bolster has settled, so I now have what seems to be a thin, hard, plastic piece digging into my left a$$ cheek and thigh every time I take a hard right. Wondering if my warranty would cover it :icon08:

How do you guys keep your driver seats from wearing out? I fear that if I get in/out of my car enough, the fabric on the left support on the driverseat will start to tear because my *** is rubbing it soo much when entering/exiting the car.

Any suggestions besides ugly car seats?

hold your fart til you sit in your in-laws' car.

To hitting on the poor guy, LOL
(Oh, and she works out like 8 days a week, so don't get TOO weirded out from her comments, although I didn't know she was a leg girl, LOL!!!)

It costs $100~ to replace the piece that wears out
Just enjoy it and destroy it!

Who repped this post 4 years later?

My 40th only had 20,000 miles on it when it looked like the first picture. I did talk to the dealer about a warranty claim and they basically said :gtfo2:.

I did find a local shop that repaired the damaged area and now it looks like this (2nd picture)...not bad for $282.00!

I try to avoid touching the bolsters when I get in. I can't do anything about it though when I have itchy "cheeks" and just have to scratch

Larso1 06-12-2017 05:43 PM

Yah, my wife says just sit on the original seats and don't worry about the wear. Well, I do. I look at the bolsters on my Maxima's leather seats and they are really bad. I mean, it's just common sense to me to keep the interior surfaces original and in like new condition. Unless you just don't care about your car, but I think you do. Just get nice leather seat covers..... and forget about it. Get in and out of your car the way that's natural to you. Too many other things in life to worry about
