Come on man, you can google that. Just go a little bit down the page.

well then you have the full feature set, I listed off the features in my review but to summarize some of the most useful I have found are AFR ratio, coolant temps, intake air temperature, 0-60 times, data logging the most useful. and I use the video app for torque that allows you to overlay any gauges over of the video.

It's a feature rich app. You can create custom PID's but you will have to search how to. I use the preprogrammed ones and have had good results. while at WOT i like to see AFR, revs, coolant temps, IAT on one screen. Another useful thing to track would be timing.

Does the torque app display oil temp on the Z?

Not on my Z. It's not available.

I didn't realize this thread lived on. WOW! lol. I kinda forgot to come back and post photos of my install. Well, here they are

I pulled the cubby door out. Had to pop off a few things to get there. It was much simpler than I thought it would be. I followed a thread here about stereo removal. **DEFINITELY USE A RAG TO COVER THE SCREWDRIVER WHEN YOU PRY THE RING FROM AROUND THE SHIFTER**

This was the view after I pulled the cubby out. I don't have pics here but I dismantled the spring-loaded hinge. I'd recommend you take photos step by step if you ever plan on getting the hinge back in place. It's a bit of a mess.

I took a regular tablet protective case and flipped the cover over to the back (I guess you could just cut the cover, but I flipped it just so I could keep using it as a regular protector should I ever take all of this back apart). I took some vinyl (from Hobby Lobby, $8 for 2 square yards) and cut slits where the feet are for the tablet protector. Stretched the vinyl around the back of the cubby and held it with mini clamps while the gorilla glue I used dried.

This is what it looks like without the tablet mounted

Eventually I'll pull it back out and mod it to hide the charger cord behind the dash, but right now that's proving to be a bigger challenge than originally thought. I'll post pics whenever I get around to doing that.

im using torque and i love it, right now i only have my phone mounted where the cubby is and i use torque on there

i might get an android head unit though just to do torque and other google stuff like nav and music

hate to bump an old thread, but oil temp is now available. you just need to download the "nissan adv" plugin from google play store. oil temp is listed as VVTI Oil Temperature.

some other cool things it can display:

* VVT Oil Temperature (*)
* Base Fuel Injection Pulse Width
* Fuel Injector Pulse Width / Duty Cycle
* Mass Air Flow (*)
* MAF Volts (*)
* EVAP Purge Duty
* A/F Ratio Adjustment
* Camshaft Advance Angle (*)
* Cruise Control Speed (*)
* Cooling Fan Activation
* A/C Compressor Activation

all of these work on my Z. i had some google play credit from google opinions (free credit for doing quick surveys) so i tried it out. pretty sweet

yah, we have an oil temp gauge... be nice to have other readings like oil pressure. :D

but you can log all your data to the webserver which is pretty neat, and this also negates the need to have an aftermarket oil temp gauge, say if you were to replace the cluster.

haha awesome. i just recently set it up and was surprised to see the oil temp was working. wish the radiator low/high fan speed was a toggle button though ;)

Does the app have a fuel gauge dial and is it more accurate than the stupid dots?

batboyvaj 02-13-2014 12:41 PM

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if you could could could adapt aftermarket electrical sensors and have them display in the app. In a couple of years of course :)
