Probably a Porche. But we'll see what Nissan has to offer in 3 years.
|
Saving for the next gen BMW M3/4 (whatever they decide to call the coupe). I'm on my second Z and I've loved both cars, but all of the rumors point toward Nissan going soft for the next generation and making the Z more entry level. Hope the rumor mill is wrong, but it wouldn't shock me. If anything, I'd want the next Nismo to break 400hp stock and lose some weight.

Maybe il buy a brown cube. I heard someone in the forums has expertise with that one :rofl2:

im hoping nissan will release an all electric Z or a turbo diesel Z, those would be major torque monsters(especially the electric Z)
but if they dont than probably a gtr or something |

whats wrong with an all electric Z? i can guarantee you that it will be much faster in an 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile than most petrol based cars will be, and it will be easier to mod and maintain because you only have 1 moving part you should look up white zombie, that car is a 10sec all electric datsun 510 oh and if you think turbo diesel is slow, clearly you havent driven the audi suv with the v12 twin turbo diesel making over 700hp |

^ good choice! I have to say a GT-R though. I have had the pleasure of driving one all week and the more I drive it the better it gets. :driving:

Probably a TDI. That is, once I get the speed out of my system. Gas mileage is king.
|
Just bought a new 2013 (4 Cylinder) Honda Accord EX-L with Nav. Got the upgraded Honda wheels and spoiler. I needed a four door with good gas milage and reliability and this car fit the bill. Completely redesigned transmission and engine and 36+ miles per gallon. I'm keeping my Z and still drive it but it's nice to have another car for the longer drives.

I'm going to retire in 66 months. So when I show up for my retirement party. It's going to be in a Ferrari 458.

I'm thinking Porsche 997 4.0 GTS model. Or 997 GT3 RS
|
Its hard to say which car i will get in next because of the next gen technology shift in cars. I'm hoping, mostly to be in the NEXT-GEN Z. If it ******* up and goes up the GT ladder instead of the sport ladder? Then it will be a rival performer to current cars like the 135i, and upcoming turbo4 328is coupe. I might get more out of the bimmer dollar for dollar as nissan pricing quickly escalates??? We'll see??? Bimmer reliability is still questionable though...
I want to modify an FI car. I miss my FD and NA gets stale after a while. Turbos are more fun & ALOT CHEAPER TO MOD. I'm also considering AWD. EVO WRX possibly a used GTR, or a camaro ZL1 and take 300lbs off it??? Or maybe a next gen mustang or camaro if they come with an FI option? IF Volvo's 451hp awd polestar comes out??? I may do that? Rumor has it the next infiniti G will be 3400lbs n FI???? May go back to infiniti???? I'm just hoping for the best with the Z but sadly expecting the worst... Lets see what they do next first before i decide??? |
My next car is probably going to be the GT-R, if they're still making it by the time I can get one (I'm talking 5-6 years). I'm kind of a nissan/infiniti fanboy; I've had one since I could drive. If I understand correctly and they take a break from making the GT-R (and I can't get a used one with low miles) I'll jump back to infiniti. A lot of things could change in 5 years, though...

I hadn't given it much thought until I read this thread.
I suppose it depends on how heavily I decide to mod the Z. If I decide to pull the trigger on a GTM TT and exhaust solution, the point will be moot for quite a long time. I'd be compelled to own the car a LONG time to justify that kind of expense. If I decide to just lightly mod the car with CAI/exhaust, I'll probably trade it for a Porsche Cayman R eventually. That $70k area is honestly the ceiling for me....I'm just not willing to spend more than that on a car. |
Sniffing around GT-Rs although my girlfriend will absolutely murder me if I do it.

diesel will give you more torque and it will take you twice as far as petrol ever will and you act as if you wouldnt stop at a hotel or something on your "epic road trip" which btw you can charge your car up there over night |
I want to revisit this thread in 2-5 years and see how many people are being realistic or blowing smoke up their own asses:roflpuke2:
