Fast & Furious

How many of you kind of just want to get into your Zs or other sports cars when any of the Fast & Furious movies is on the TV ?? (Specially Tokyo Drift).

Haha !! I start imagining drifting my Z all over the town haha. Too bad the roads in this part of India are not good.

OA

I feel the opposite. The last place I want to be after a F&F movie drops is in a sports car. Suddenly every cop and Dbag expects you to be a racer. The a$$holery and undeserved traffic stops that ensue SUCKS. It's called the "Fast and Furious Effect". I love the movies and am always at the midnight showings (if applicable), but I ride with my friends when we go hahaha

The Z monster 08-29-2012 12:38 PM

Tokyo drift sucked. That was the worst one. The last one was decent. Hopin the next one will b good too

edub370 08-29-2012 12:53 PM

the original f&f is by far the best. and yes

and the second one was BY A MILE the worst one. the 500foot jump over a bridge with n64 graphix didnt help

omaragra 08-29-2012 12:54 PM

hahaha !!! I am not really a super fan of the series but just love bits and pieces from every movie !!

WHAT?!?!?!?!!

That one had the best characters. BamaBoy, Han and cant forget jaw girl Neela! Best cars including 3 350Z's for the Z lovers (you included), Veilside RX7, had the orginal drift king himself fishing Keichi. Stunts were done by professional drifters Tanner Foust, Samuel Hubinette and Rhys Millen. Not only that the story was great, finally in another country that we are usually not used to seeing in a movie..i can keep going on. For me, it was the best out of all followed by Fast Five then the First one. Nothing is worst than the second one!

TheGreatOne 08-29-2012 05:36 PM

I agree, 2nd one not my favourite.

I am partial to Fast Five because it seemed to have the best "story" and action seemed to evolve. Tokyo drift, best stunts and driving for sure. Bamma boy annoyed me though lol.

Opening week on the streets is always crazy.

I remember coming out of Fast 5 and there was literally 11 people standing around my car...felt like Toretto

falconfixer 08-29-2012 06:29 PM

No.

btw is there anyone that likes those movies over the age of 25? and not live at home still? and not work at pizza hut? and not smoke crack?

Nope, but I'm not in high school.

I didn't realize that they made that many Fast & Furious movies. The first one was sort of entertaining...if you can overlook all the facepalm moments. Honestly that movie makes me want to sell my car.

That movie was filmed in downtown LA lol... Han was awesome tho. He was the best part of the movie

I'll be 27. I don't work at pizza hut. I don't smoke crack. I own a home. I like these movies because they're entertaining. I don't let the "face palm moments" or ridiculous not possible stunts bother me. Movies r solely for entertainment. Are they Grammy winners ? No. Are they fun to an extent? Yes. Paul walker, your my boy! Torreto, I'll dust u anytime, anywhere! Plus the 370 and GTR are in the last movie !

Felix 808 08-29-2012 06:50 PM

 :superghey:

anthonyy 08-29-2012 06:53 PM

Um... what's wrong with smoking crack and watching the fast and furious?

Don't limit ppl to their age. Everyone's different. We like what we like.

Okay back on topic... oh wait...

haha, I'm 35

they have progressively gotten less cheesy (car wise) but they are still good for some facepalm moments :icon17:

...last one was less about cars actually, which is why I think I liked it...Eva Mendes is in the next one...must watch!

sonic370 08-29-2012 08:42 PM

mmm hard choice crack payment or the 370 payment.....
plus i like my teeth to much..............:icon18:

Thats pretty much the job application I look for when I apply for a job. If that's not on the application, then that job is below My standards.

you! out of the pool! if u cant appreciate a good f&f then u need to loosen up a bit. not take life so seriously, and have fun every once in a whie

Compdoc777 08-30-2012 08:34 AM

Yes the movies were great for their time. Tokyo drift is my fav.

I was street racing before the show ever came out and in the scene with the import tuning and showing and winining many competitions. My best was winning best of show and getting an interview on SpeedTv.

When F&F came out it spurned everyone get an import and to go racing. Thus really killing the scene due to wrecks and laws banning any thing of the like.

I know there is an underground scene now, but I am not interested in loosing my license or car now. Still like to race and show, but at the track and in moderation. I have my xbox360 and Forza, and Need for speed to take out my driving agressions.

ZMan8 08-30-2012 09:38 AM

I like the f&f movies. I grew up with them and they have matured a bit as well. I was only 13 when the first came out.

We Should all support the movie though because little known fact is Paul walker owns a 370z

I remember when the first one came out, I like you was into the scene and remember being extremely happy to see a movie come out that was on a topic of interest that not many knew about. Yes some bad stuff came out of it like in Houston we had car meet raids that landed some people in jail for no reason and APC wings that were the only mod on older 4 door sedans. But a lot of stuff came out of it also, like the scene growing, carshows like Nopi and HIN which have lead to bigger shows, and now a big market for performance parts which wasnt there before.

UNKNOWN_370 08-30-2012 02:32 PM

I thought when those movies came out they all sucked. It wasn't till the fourth installment that i saw some type of plot building that made me want to go back and re-watch them. Then i thought... not bad. I went and saw fast 5. Though i was disappointed in the amount of cars, racing or lack there of... I thought they maximized the storyline and turns out the series in a whole, though cheesy, in many aspects is a shytload of fun to watch. Cars, guns, action, hot chix and illegal racing... it doesnt get much better than that for near-brainless superficial entertainment with cool yet mediocre heist sub-plots.

I embrace F&F for what it is... JDM/muscle fanboi action fluff and its cool when in the mood.

Maybe in Tx, but the scene had been hot in the east coast since the 82 mitsu conquest/starion/ 1.8 corolla and supra. Thats the car that set it off in the east

nmjaxx9 08-30-2012 02:42 PM

FF is the ****!!! Have to agree that some of em are kinda cheesy but without them being corny it wouldn't be half as fun.

When my Z arrives, I am definitely taking a pic like that one, and uploading it as my profile picture in social networks. Been dreaming about that day since the movie came out :D
What rims are those by the way?

I've always watched and will continue to watch the series.. mostly because there aren't really any alternatives for racing/car movies out there anyway.. something is better than nothing.

however.. I'll never forgive, forget, or stop hating those horrible disgusting ricey vinyl stickers they kept putting on every car in the first couple movies. like the one with the robot pointing forward in the first one lol or the ugly blocks of silver on the Evo in the second one

it was only after the movies came out that I saw so many civics and integras in my area with that garbage stuck on the side of their cars too :shakes head:

i have always been a fan of the F&F movies. I dont like the fact that everytime you go to the opening night showing all sorts of hondas will be there revving and burning out. the police presence is always much higher around the theaters on those nights...but watching the movies does motivate me to drive like a madman through the twistys haha
