dam that would suck to get smoked by like a Nismo Rogue R or something. I think the Nismo Frontier should have supercharger options...
|
"The Nismo Juke will be the first of these models to arrive early next year. It will boast a unique body kit, as well as 18-inch wheels and bright red side view mirrors. Underhood, the 1.6-liter mill will be massaged to produce 215 horsepower – an increase of 28 hp."

Actually a closer read of the article states the Nismo version will be on multiple models and will receive a 15% power increase.
" Nismo versions will get a power hike of 15 percent, but the focus will be on distinctive styling. The Nismo Juke will be the first of these models to arrive early next year." Stating Nismo versions will get the bump starting this year a la 2013 Juke then going from there. Also for those who said no 370Z news " If you have the insatiable need for speed, Nissan will be unleashing an RS range of models, boasting track-focused performance...It was also noted that there would be RS versions of the GT-R and 370Z." So before the model line changes the RS versions of the 370Z and GT-R will be unleashed which means prior to 2016 when the model line will run its normal 7 year shelf life. Facebook is actually the new source for certain types of News. This was posted by Nissan Performance USA the performance branch of Nissan USA and has quotes in it from Nissans Executive VP of PLANNING so yes its a good source. |
RS version of the Z will no doubt be in the 50K+ or more range, which puts it out of the peak demographic they sell in. At that price point, most guys aged 25-35 ish something with a family won't or can't buy one. I'm almost 50 and could pay that amount, but I won't for a toy that depreciates so fast.

I'm personally hoping to see the RS go for under 50k. |

These company Facebook pages, twitter accounts, etc. Are created and managed by the respective companies. Therefore anything put on there can be taken as real, valid info.
I'm interested to see if this Time around the US will get the rs model. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2 |

Why are some of you saying no real Z news? Yea obviously we already have a nismo
model. So nothing new for the Z this year. Whats good news is we are getting a RS model. It's on nissan's facebook. straight from the horses mouth! Yea the price of the 370z nismo rs is gonna be expensive. 50k+ for a Z! But the good news is a 15% bump in HP (which is 50+) If a Z could have Carrera 4s power and perform boss 302 numbers then is the price justified? |
A nismo GTR would be cool

IMO, Nissan will be looking toward lighter weight for better performance and a lower-liter forced-induction setup for better fuel economy.
I don't see high horsepower numbers beyond an interim DI-equipped 370z as much as a smaller and lighter chassis for future Z's. This has basically been all but confirmed by Nissan... but those people who are looking for a horsepower war with Detroit from Nissan are setting themselves up for disappointment. |
