For instance, I had knee surgery just before I was 16 and getting ready to drive. All my friends had MT and were having fun (doing what 16yo's do, ya know?), but I had orders from my doctor that I should not get a vehicle with a clutch, because it may put additional strain on my knee. So, for three years I followed that order, then said, "F*** it. My leg is strong enough by now!" :icon17: |
Competitiveness over a single material possession is imho incredibly stupid. It's one thing to go to a track and be skill competitive, its another to lust over someone else's car and get jealous. THAT'S SERIOUSLY A DUMB USELESS EMOTION. Millions of people in this world with nothing and getting killed for a belief and im going to channel my energy into auto-jealousy???
Jealous maybe the next guy is with an ex i was in love with???? Strong maybe if the pusc was really good? but a fkkin car? u gotta be kidding me. Utterly superficial. As far as friends go... I never hate on them either. I love to see my friends get ahead in life... Even when they surpass me. Not many people made it where i'm from. Anyone doing something good for themself gives me pride for them. Seeing another Z owner makes me proud to own one. Not get jealous. |

I'm just usually surprised when I see another 370Z. They are pretty rare, even in SouCal. By comparison, when I owned a G35 I'd see a dozen every day commuting each direction to work. I see several 350z's daily, but there sure must not have been many 370z's sold.
