I would hate to buy a car with some thing I really didn't care for, and the following years model be re designed!

If Nissan does that, the first year 370Z will become a highly sought after car in years to come (like the split window Corvette). So it would be a good idea to have one.

Even though I doubt a second year redesign will happen.

if all goes well i will be upgrading in May '09

I doubt it's gonna happen at all with the 370Z.

I personally don't think it looks right without the boomerang lights. All the PS jobs I've seen with "normal" lights just look off.

I will be getting a 2009...:eekdance:

Good to know. That's what I thought!

What about you?

Same.

The "boomerang" head and taillights are not a problem for me.
I think Nissan has the "bugs" worked out of this one.

Its engine is only what, 30% different than the previous?

So basically you have 70% of an engine that has been examined and retooled since 2003 and a Nav/climate system already tested in the G37, along with engines and drive train.

The biggest concerns might be for the 7SPD Auto which will be for the warranty, recalls, and me to figure out :D

7 sp has been out foralmost a year now.

I was until I heard of the overheating issue. Although I doubt they will, I'm hoping they will fix in the next year. I also want a stick, so I'm a little sketchy on the rev match.

shumby 12-16-2008 09:03 PM

they did not fix it in the second model year of the G37. so i don't think they will on the Z. but come one oil cooler will be a cheep mod and is that worth waiting 1 year for something that might not happen?

That and the whole GTR debacle has me a little concerned that the cars of late aren't getting tested enough before production. I'm in no rush, so might as well be safe.
