Recommended and to be avoided list

Hi fellow community! I wanted to start this thread to hopefully to help our community. Wanted to create a list of vendors that our members recommend doing business with and vendors that we should avoid all together. This will help everyone decide where to spend our hard earned money. I have seen far too many members get burned and this needs to stop. We need to help each other. No need to detail your experience.

I'll start from my experience and what I've read on these forums:

RECOMMENDED:
STILLEN
Z1 motorsports
iJDM TOY
Stickercity
Courtesyparts.com
Tony at F.I.
Nissan USA
The Z Store
K&N
Mothers
Plasti Dip
EVO-R Products (*not recommended to purchase parts directly from vendor. if you can purchase the item from another vendor)

AVOID:
VIP status
KaleCoAuto.com

Well this was not the intention of this thread... It was meant to stear members to reputable vendors like a Angie's list but for the 370z :tiphat:

I agree, in principle, with the point of the thread, but it has been proposed before, and it often leads to abuse.

That the dude that joined the band? He brought the funny :ughdance:

dmhenderson 08-07-2012 12:53 PM

I dunno he made some thread trolling a sponsor shop or pretended to be a sponsor or something. I can't remember but the thread was huge and it made me laugh.

If you just add up all the negative recommendations from everyone, every vendor will be on the negative list, that's just how the world works. There's always some problems, and problems get more attention than good stuff. I'll stick to the positive side: the best vendors I've had so far in terms of customer service and parts delivery are Z1 Motorsports and Courtesyparts.com :)

dmhenderson 08-07-2012 12:59 PM

Nissan is pretty cool to deal with most of the time (unless it's the keyfob issue in the 09-11s)

falconfixer 08-07-2012 01:00 PM

Just to add something useful

Recommend:
Tony at F.I.
Z1 Motorsports
Courtesyparts.com (helping me with the niddly crap on my Frontier)

oh and of course NissanUSA

Oh I should've listed FI as well. I don't think about them very often because my **** from them Just Works and I've had it a while. But I did have a number of phone conversations with them back when I was getting my LTH and catbacks, and they are really top notch :).

whoady4shoady 08-07-2012 02:22 PM

Couldnt you have just made the topic avoid VIP status and be done with it??

robones 08-07-2012 04:51 PM

LOL it's looking that way. Maybe EVO-R should be added to avoid purchasing directly. They seem to be better as Wholesale then retail.

jlbrenne 08-07-2012 04:54 PM

I was going to order some EVO-R fenders. Should I not from them??? They look sick

Kingbaby 08-07-2012 04:57 PM

I agree this thread would go to a bashing state and no real info to be had. However what works else where is...

WHAT MODS DO YOU REGRET AND WHY?

from my experience: I could not get my EVO-R fangs directly from EVO-R! imagine that! I went through hoops and ended up purchasing my covers from the Z STORE instead. 1000x better vendor. the quality of the fangs from EVO-R was great but hell no to the customer service.
