370z's do come with nissan's ester oil from the factory, and it is recommended to continue using that oil. Most of us are going to ester based synthetics

Very interesting then. If my car came with nissan ester based synthetic and still had that annoying ticking...whats the point of the genuine nissan ester oil? The redline ester based sythetic I put in completely cured that issue. I'm not convinced our cars some with ester based oil from the factory for that reason alone.
