nono, im not talking about the s-tune kit as those come pre-painted.

i am referring to possible transit damage....even if the paint is failing similarly on both sides, if the dealer is telling you it's been repainted, you need to show them that it wasn't to get the dealer warranty repair.

honestly though, if that was my car and only the hood, i would just get that fixed on my own even though i dont agree with paying for it. it's just not worth the hassle.

dont have 4k cash to have it painted

if it's just the hood, probably anywhere from $300-$500. check around.

Sorry to hear that, you should be able to find a dealership that will cover you.

Side question, how/why did you pay $50k for your car?

that's the tax and all. The s-tune kit was a $3400 add-on and then other stuff.

i would check another bodyshop. they should be able to 'blend' within the hood for less than 450.

hell, why not just get a CF hood then? :stirthepot:

I would absolutely start by contacting Nissan Corporate. Tell them the situation, the dealers response, and tell them what you expect as a consumer of their premier product. See how they respond, they can force a dealers hand quickly. I had an issue with an 02 spec v and I contacted corporate after the dealer basically told me to go f myself. Nissan corporate send me to a new dealership who did all the work for free. If no satisfaction then feel free to bash then publicly.
