btw if you have the cash for a 335, you can boost the Z and have it all!

335i is probably the most unreliable car I ever driven, and was traded in for my Z.

2 Hpfp failed, water pump failed, squeaky brakes, random codes appearing then disappearing, and dead battery. This was all under 35k Miles.
If you have cash for repairs then go ahead and buy the 335i. After warranty is done the 335i will devalue even more. a BMW battery is $500 for replacement and last only 3 years.

Here are 5 reason to get a 370z over a 335i.

1: Reliability
2: Better Gas Mileage
3: 19'' Rays VS Ugly BMW 17'' wheels.
4: Faster Stock for Stock
5: More Rare: all 3 series have the same body style unless your buying an m3.

thats exactly what im looking for reliablty , better gas mileage and its rare especially with the Montrey Blue looks amazing but for the 335i my Dads best friend is a Service Manager at Bmw and he always takes care of my maintence on the m3 and my clutch recently was slipping and needed a new one and got a clutch from germany and installed for $1,000 when just the labor alone costs $1,500 for the new clutch so im not worried about that i know hed take care of me and the 335i , I just love the Z lookz mean , it has a vicious lsd with the sport package :D i test drove a z like a week ago and oh boy i fell in loveee :owned::driving:

Yeah that is my goal as well has having a car that i can tastefully modify myself and make it my own project and being able to afford performance parts for it , and reliablity is a must for me because it will be my DD. Hows the Z straight line speed? i drove it but dealer would not let me punch it , and i noticed like the clutch when its engaged in first gear it likes to jump out like really fasttt maybe im just use to my m3?

i'm not sure why you guys are dismissing the potential of the evo. cover the interior in alcantara and carbon fiber and call it a day. Evo's are hella fun.

:driving:

fun to drive, not a pleasant place to sit tho. most people dont wanna buy a car and immediately have to redo the interior to make it acceptable. and the evo interior is AWFUL

Red__Zed 07-18-2012 12:49 PM

When faced with the same decision, I picked the 370z, at least the first time.

At the end of the day, it comes down to what you want from the car. Every car on that list is very different. Get behind the wheel, and see what speaks to you.

The evo interior is whack its the same thing as my 2008 lancer gts , which is plasticky and feeels very cheap inside except my navi is amazinngg lol

kenchan 07-18-2012 12:50 PM

not only that, evo's reminds me of taxi's back in the days when they were MT.

If you already have an m3, you're set for speed. So get the one you enjoy the most or like the most emotionally. Which one make so go 'ooh' and drool rather just saying 'hey, those specs on the sheet are great'. Whenever I walk to my car after work, I always think how awesome it looks. That is priceless and better than being a little faster, especially if you already have other fast cars.

Yes, yes it's got plenty of straight line speed! Especially if you do a few bolt-on mods.

With more than enough grunt and those sexy lines, you can't go wrong!

Z for life!

Mt Tam I am 07-18-2012 01:37 PM

The fact that the OP has an M3 and is considering a Mustang speaks volumes about the new 'Stang's.

TypeOne 07-18-2012 01:45 PM

Probably a 5.0.... but I wouldn't want to be associated with the Mustang crowd stereotype.

I love my Z, but man.. I'm really loving the new 5.0s. I'm holding out for the 2014 redesign.

brucelidat 07-18-2012 01:49 PM

2015 redesign I believe. in terms of performance for your money, the 5.0 is pretty tough to match, but there are other factors for choosing a car as well

Slavo22 07-18-2012 01:50 PM

yeah i would just like straight line speed and just daily spirtied driving im going to sell my m3 so i will have my lancer and hoepfully a 370z pretty soon!!

brucelidat 07-18-2012 02:25 PM

For straight line speed, the Z will not feel as fast because it is NA. If you want to feel fats, then you want the turbo kick.
