Were all '12s cursed by a Voodoo Shawman, Voldemort, George W Bush, etc? It seems like you guys can't get pass the 6 month mark without some sort of accident.

You're right-i've had mine less than 3 months-damaged chin spoiler from stoopid raccoon-:shakes head:

I used my 09 as a daily driver and it never had a scratch on right up to when I sold it. Go figure.

Update from car ICU:

New panel parts have arrived from Nissan and have been primted. Rearview mirror and side blinker lamp have arrived as well. Front spoiler and hood have been sanded and primed. Rim scuff fixed. It goes for blending/painting and windshield replacement/tinting early next week and will be ready for me to pick up on the 27th after road testing.

Poor bambi, you had expensive taste. Among all the ricers on the road, you had to pick a brand new Nismo.

Been too many deer posts lately! As the last guy, glad you were (somewhat) lucky and she didn't come through the window.

Also agreed on the cube. It's really a hilarious car. On the plus side it does have great visibility, and about 15 cup holders!

joshs09slvrZ 07-14-2012 12:15 PM

Glad you're alright man. This is my worst fear where I live...we have a lot of deer around.

Any idea when you'll get it back?

dmhenderson 07-14-2012 12:34 PM

Should be done as soon as I get back from the beach on the 27th.

The only things i have ever hit in my Z was a pigeon and a seagull. I thought they were going to move like usual, but nope they just wanted to die that day i guess. I saved my Z one day though, took her in for maintance and noticed my power steering belt was getting beat up and they told me just to drive it home and back when my under drives came in. That night i was going over to one of my friends house in my moms huge conversion van and i was going around a turn at 55 when a possum runs right out in front of me and the left front tire hits it, the van goes up in the air and bounces back down and i maintain control. If i would have had my Z it would have been destroyed because it was a huge possum and there was a car next to me so i probably would have lost it going around a turn while hitting the possum. I'm glad that there is no deer where i live! Your car will be fixed in no time. Time to do some upgrades

More fun with the CUBE:

-I filled it up with gas today. It cost $30 to fill the tank. Under half of what it costs to gas the Z.

-Cube owners do not appear to have the same sense of camaraderie that Z owners have. I figured waving didn't cut it, so upong seeing another cube, I rolled down the window, pointed at it and yelled, "CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBE". Results were as follows:
-One woman glanced at me nervously, rolled up her window and sped off.
-Another guy yelled "IT'S A SCION" (it was a scion)

They're all cubes to me.

Not tryign to be an azzhole but... Shyt like this wouldn't be happening if we control how many people come into this country and welfare hoes from having babies. These deer are losing their place to live cuz people r fvcking idiots and live extremely selfish lives.
I'm glad ur ok op and I'm really sorry about your ride. But if that deer is not getting eaten? I feel sorry for the deer. They are living beings and deserve to live as well. You have insurance. You're alive. A deer is dead and he's not even going to
feed some families.
Now the forum is ranting on how they hate deer. Another option would have been instead of trying to swerve at 45mph, using those all powerful brakes to stop would have better potentially avoided that situation. Our brakes from 45mph stop our cars in a few negligable feet. Trying to swerve any type of potential sudden accident is the WRONG move. BRAKING is the way to go when moving objects are in front of you. Especially from the broadside. You double your chances by avoiding the impact. Not guaranteed of course. But braking is the better option when compared to the swerve.

But again... more important is that your personal being is safe.

Funny, I thought the same thing as you when I first read that post, and I'm not tired or slightly drunk :)

Glad you and your girlfriend are OK and the car is getting fixed quick!

WTF??? :icon14:

Did you even read this in the OP (emphasis added):

Quote:

The f'ing thing literally ran broadside into me while I was actively trying to avoid it going ~45mph. Seriously, it takes a special kind of ******* animal to time its suicide charge perfectly enough to keep me from seeing it until the last possible second and manage to hit ME and not the other way around.
And what does this have to do with immigration or "welfare hoes" having babies?

Lol... let me explain that... I guess that sounds pretty random. What it is that we keep building city after city after city, reducing our natural forests etc, that now these wild animals run through the city through lack of a place to live. This country is just overpopulated due to open, borders, loose immigration policies for european countries and people who opt to keep having babies. This is the back lash of having to build more cities at a high pace andthus reducing a home for our wildlife.
I see all kinds of shyt here in the city. Bobcats, deer, wolves, poisonous snakes, etc... things that we would never see in a city. Its due to all these friggin companies buildin communities and businesses.

I know he was broad sided, but what I'm sayin is in the time it took to swerve, braking would have probably saved him more. I'm not saying it being mean. Just as an advice. I was in pretty much in the same situation back home. But I was a passenger. We braked hard... we still hit the deer. He popped back up though. If we would have swerved? We would have had to hope the deer would brake short and move around. Braking is just usually the better option. In his case he might have hit the deer with his front bumper or missing him completely.
