Please tell me someone here has tried candy bacon.. (brown sugar on bacon, put it in the oven, flip the bacon, put it back in the oven :yum:)
Also, I am very interested in 70-0 distances for base brakes. |

Now I have the sport 370Z and the brakes are so much better.. I also had a 300ZX with aftermarket brakes and it was way better than the 350Z.. I just think that base brakes are fine unless you plan to push the car to it's limits, and with the power and the handling, these cars have a high limit.. Sport or aftermarket brakes are a must.. |
I just added bacon to my dominos pizza order!

The base brakes are more than sufficient to lock em up, even with a significant amount of tire. |

Z Meets Wall: We Investigate Why the NISMO Z's Brakes Failed at Lightning Lap - Feature - Car and Driver
There is the answer. If the sport brakes go soft after a few track laps. crappy pads, aerodynamics, and no break cooling vent, and boiling brake fliuid. If one can cook the sport brakes the base brakes don't have a chance on the 370z. They will heat up a lot faster and fade quicker. Aritcal states the hardware is just fine the cooling of the brakes seems to be the issue. Looking at the car I notice no cooling design what so ever. Even my Sky Redline has front vented cooled front brakes, heck even my Expedtion. Nismo 370z none??? WTF! So let me get this we pay a lot for the car, then have to purchase upgraded pads, oil cooler, trans cooler, diff cooler, new brake fluid, and brake cooling kit to hit the track? |
Sounds like the OP is an "interesting" person who needs "guidance".
|
You are not cooking anything from ONE 70-0 stop, buy better tires if you want to stop quicker.
Have you ever been to the track? Go find a track regular who is on the stock pads and stock fluid, they will laugh at you. Also as a FYI. The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes option, you know the $8K option on 911/Boxster, can't take the abuse of a full track day either. If you overheat them by doing straight laps/sessions, they will simply wear out and you will end up having to pay $5K for a new brake job. Some of the GT3 owners actually swap the PCCB out to get the brakes off the regular car since they are much cheaper and are more reliable at the track or they have to buy DEDICATED TRACK PADS like everyone else |
