Yes, but you have to go up-market.

Sub-Zero & Wolf ranges are still made in the US. Some Viking & KitchenAide small appliances (mixers, for example) are made in the US.

We have a ~5 year old spare Fischer & Paykel washing machine that I use to launder my car-washing towels & microfibers. It was made in Ohio.

Bunn-O-Matic makes coffee makers; their factory is in Springfield, IL (drive by it occasionally).

I think the best one was a dude who looked like he was in his late twenties and his friend (of a similar age) climbed out of a new SL65 AMG a couple years ago, and then proceeded to take photos of just the Z itself and then side to side with the Merc. Kind of odd being compared to a car in a 200k dollar bracket. Then I thought about why there are 200,000 dollar cars in my area where I had parked. In front of a Target.

I remember a friend of the female persuasion got into the passenger seat and just started touching everything. Everything. At some point I think I let her sit in the driver's seat while the engine was idling. She revved maybe twice and just quietly returned to her home, where I was dropping her off. I remembered thinking, "Weird."

Best compliment def goes to seeing a young couple driving and seeing an attractive female smile as she looks at you while her boyfriend is driving, completely oblivious:D

I have new neighbours moving in to the house next door. I introduced myself to them today and the guy says, oh you're the guy with the Porsche in the garage. I said, nah... It's just a little Nissan. :bowrofl:

He proceeded to tell me about the 240z he used to own that was race prepped. Turns out he might be a good neighbour. :tup:

Yesterday I was at a shell station getting gas and this guy comes to me trying to sell his cleaning wax. He approached my car and started saying, "whoa is this a 450z?" (I'm like wow)...no...it's a 370z and he goes like, "really?! it's a nice car, I thought Nissan would've went up to 450z by now...but aside from that, I DID get a compliment saying how he liked my car!

Some interesting stories. Mine happened a bit over a week ago as I walked out to my car a Murcielago pulls up beside me in my out of the way spot. Guess I sould have taken a pic for the "who parks by your Z" thread. As I check out this awesome pearled orange beauty a mid-thirties guy and his hottie GF get out. "Nice ride man", I say. Thirties guy is too uber for me, closes his door and walks off. Thirties-guy hottie GF says with a smile and laugh that melts me on the spot "Great colour, convertibles are more fun!" She walks off looking back once at the car (I doubt it was me).

She honestly liked the car. :tup: I could see that and gladly take the complement but he took pains ignoring me so I'll take it as a compliment too. :cool:
