How do you guys feel about JDM decals?

Something like this:

Childish? Humorous? Gives the car personality?

If you're sporting a sponsor logo or two, that's fine with me. This monstrosity looks like something you'd find in a high school parking lot in Loser Town, USA.

"No Fat Chicks", "Gangsta", "F#ck"? Give me a break, you can't get any more low rent trash.

Even if it is done in a cleaner way?

I think they look childish/silly. I just want to rip them off whenever I see them. And it's always the kids with the cheap, slow cars that seem to have the most of them.

yep - not a fan. 'maybe' one somewhere discreet.. not a whole swath of them...

m4a1mustang 06-20-2012 06:57 AM

The "you like this" is the one that gets me the most. I am like, "no, I don't like your piece of crap." I want to write "unlike" on top of that sticker the next time I see it. :icon17:

Had a Scion tC with a big "you like this" sticker on his rear bumper near the exhaust tip cut me off last year coming back from the beach. AWWW HELL NO!!!!

:iagree:

If you HAVE to do it, get one that's a bit subtle and put it somewhere that doesn't make the car look like a piece of crap. Basically anywhere you can't see it. :p

Where's the flames to go with the decals?

Amuse370z 06-20-2012 07:19 AM

Haha I won't lie, I think its pretty cool and gives the car personality.
But, I can see how it can be seen in a negative way.

Looks like us Z guys are more mature compared to the Civic guys :)

Each sticker is worth +5hp on the butt Dyno....

I say no stickers, unless you are repping a sponsor at a car show and it is required as per the contract/sponsorship deal.

Several "legitimate" ones; i.e. products installed on the car are fine with me. The rest of of the stickers displayed by the OP were nothing more than low rent bumper stickers applied to the windshield.

If you are going to drive a $35k+ car, you should be mature enough to realize that fact.

Makes me think of civic hatches doing one wheel peels out of the high school parking lot

Amuse370z 06-20-2012 07:39 AM

I want one of the ones that says "the objects in the mirror appear to be losing".

I saw one before at a car show.

kenchan 06-20-2012 08:41 AM

I don't like stickers on my cars. Workbench ok.

Two other notes:

-I love how the image chosen for discussion of jdm stickers is of a euro car
- :icon17: at fwdsucks sticker
