Everyone has their own opinions but I wouldn't go as far as saying 18k is a "joke". To each of their own. It is still below that "retail" price you speak of. And I got some time to hold on to it. I wouldn't mind some more power.

Good luck holding onto full retail value, you might want to build a full dealership to make it easier too.

Like someone else posted, KBB is just a guideline, market value is what people are going to toss at you. I would research how much they are going for in your area. I did a quick search(autotrader) for an 06 G35 in San Diego, and surprisingly, your price point is actually on the lower end. Some were priced at over 20k with 70k miles. Put it in as many ads as you can, and "jazz" it up, your sales ad that is =), good luck.

I think you should be the one building a dealership. Dealerships use black book value because their numbers are a lot lower than KBBs. I went to a dealership the other day and they used that **** in my face. I said f**k that! You can't go by those numbers or KBBs because they are so different from one another. Btw 18.8 OBO is not bad for 41k miles.

Just letting the guy know what to expect when it comes to buy and sell cars.

Of course all it takes is one idiot to outbid himself.

Go to any auction house, see if they will use your KBB number. KBB is for consumers to feel good about themselves. There is a reason why it is free online. Blackbook is also an estimate, but at least it is closer to the KBB number.

$18800 is great if you can get it, good luck. I am going to ask for $28K on my 2009 Z, let's see how many takers I got

well, that's your opinion and experience with your cars. and from wat you've stated in the other posts, yah, your car will not be worth that much the way you take care(?) of them.

You are right, but I usually don't sell to private party and the dealers aren't as anal as private sale (I have done plenty of both). Still, it is irrelevant how I treat my cars. The OP wants to sell his car, he cant sell it because he priced it too high.
