Ask them for container number and name of vessel carrier. Some carriers offer on-line container tracking.

Thanks, and yeah that sounded strange when I first heard it also, but I guess it makes sense. The Japanese automakers use very large ships, which are specifically set up to transport cars & trucks. These ships can hold 4,000+ vehicles and normally go back and forth from Japan to the west coast of the US.

Because 80% of our goods get shipped in from the west coast. The manufacturers can then have the few cars dedicated for Hawaii moved onto these other ships.

Thanks goodness these miles don't count on the odometer......if it did, we'd have over 5,000 miles on the clock!!! :icon17:

That's a great idea but most sales managers aren't smart/caring enough to pull that information. To be honest I'm just fed up at this point I'm just gonna wait until I get "the" call.

LOL I don't know why they are reporting inventory on those vehicles, they aren't grounded in America yet. The dealer sites say "in transit".Those are probably in the same shipment my cars are in since they have vins but that's it.

My sales contact told me the reason why they were slow to reveal any pricing on 2013s is because they are going to be priced the same as the 12s. If that news came out while 800 2012s were still on sale it would cannibalize the sales. ; ) So don't expect much of an increase my friend.
