Hard to say as they have no life expectancy

Can you grind it down flat? Like, is it a casting imperfection?

IDK if I could grind it down perfectly flat. The flange on the test pipe that mates to the header has a slight curve to it. Again, not sure if this is the prob. When its all bolted down tight it looks to be fine.

VDC off is the way to go. Even makes my shifts feel smoother.

When I did my headers I took my steering shaft off and wasn't able to put it back on the right way, now my steering wheel is crooked. If I drive more than a couple of miles it automatically turns VDC off for me cause it doesn't know what the hell is going on :rofl2:

Just because mr. kenchan isn't posting doesn't mean you slackers get to sleep in! Where is everybody?

mr. happy report.

mr. gale report.

mr. onzedge (I know you are up mister!) report.

mr. kenchan may be lurking, so make him proud. This is what you've trained for! :icon17:

Hey buddy (and everyone else)! :hello:

Im here, it just seems that every morning I can't see to get my posts in prior to 7:30.... Between 7:30 and 7:45 (as you well know) there's some kind of database maintenance. :(

Anyways, I reall need to get off my butt and put that Dr. Color chip to work, especially after I discovered a new scratch on my passenger door this week.

Guess we have to drive away good, helpful members to make way for the ricers.

I really dont get it. This thread is the only drama free thread on here. The same people frequent it everyday and its just a nice place to come and chat. We treat new members that show up super nice and welcome them to the family. Nobody is ever alienated. The forum is doomed. I wont be renewing my premium thats for sure.

Post of the month Ryan!

I will admit that I was (and still are) very disheartened by the "smack down". I understand that we tended to get off topic, but it was usually wrangled back under control without intervention. I'm displeased with Triple's statement and I feel that it could have been a bit more cordial. The tone of his post did nothing but create unrest within the community. I have lost respect for this forum to a degree. It feels like the "family" aspect has been tainted.

I miss Ken. He was a great contributor to this site, with a wealth of knowledge.

Relevant to Z discussion:

While driving the Z it is common to have "ricer fly bys" happen. However, today reached a new level. While Z'ing home from work, I was vicitim of yet another "ricer fly by" by some 16 year old, driving a PORSCHE PANAMERA TURBO.... :ugh2: :shakes head:

He was driving normally until he saw me, at which point he decided "lets catch up to this guy, almost run into him from behind, swerve to the right lane, then proceed to cut him off, then go back into the right lane" ?

Parents who gave that kid that car should be sent to jail. what is the world coming to?

ms. pint actually made the best point - most of us are Premium members who PAY for the privilege of posting on, and help support, this forum. Great demographic to runoff.

I stand by my original post.

Now to some thread relevant items:

On the way home, someone in an Altima tried to cut me off. He must be a hater. I downshifted using my paddle shifters and got out of his way.

While washing my car this afternoon, I noticed a few bugs on the front bumper. When I used a Brillo pad to remove them, the paint came off! Why is our paint so soft?

I had to fill-up this morning, and saw that regular was $0.25 less than premium, so I went with the regular. It really can't make that much of a difference. I bet Nissan owns a lot of oil company stock.

While I was filling up, a guy in a Ferrari 458 told me his car was better than my Z. That makes me mad. He must be a hater.

Checked the oil too. I'm getting close to change time and can't decide between dino and synthetic. The convenience of going 15k miles between changes with the synthetic is appealing. I could go three years without having to change my oil.

I drove over to Autozone to check out the different oils. I walked out of the store to find a 1986 Dodge Caravan wedged next to me! Must be a hater.

I'm going to hook up with some friends tomorrow and do some serious cruising. I hope no one in an EVO tries to race me. That would make me mad.

I'll take a bunch of pictures and post on Sunday.

Relevant item: I thought about getting really drunk an driving my Z way too fast while howling at the moon, but thought better of it.

Also, I found a dead mouse in the garage, where I keep the Z... He must be a hater.

:iagree: I looked forward to reading this thread. The "other" thread just isn't the same.

I agree with you --this thread it is not exactly the same as it was. The "other" thread is 100%the goofy and off-topic while this one had the right mix.

Cheer up my brothers and sisters. This is but a bump in the road. We make this forum what it is. Stand united. Keep up the struggle and keep coming back.
