Kensan don't think any nickname that has queen in it is me. LOL And it is a race car. Alot of guys at the firehall called my Z the race car too. Looking to see if the rain is going away so that I can go to cruise night tonight. Have to do some washing before.

Last Sunday, for sh1ts and giggles, Colin and I went to the Subaru dealer to look at the BRZ -- they had none. the sales guy was unhappy about the fact that they will only make 6,000 this year (according to him) and that he could sell as many as he can get.

frustrated in our efforts at Subaru, we wandered down the street to the Toyota/Scion dealer. Holy smokes, they had every version of Prius in huge quantities. Anyway, no more than 30 seconds after our arrival we were greeted by an enthusiastic sales guy named "Kal" -- his name itself was strike one and it being spelled with a K strike two and the fact that it was embroidered on his shirt with the quotation marks should have really tipped us off that we were dealing with an elite car sales man. It did not and we engaged in conversation.

They had no FR-S but we talked a bit and he proceeded to tell us that it came in all-wheel-drive as well as RWD. "Really?" I asked and he said "absolutely". I asked him if he'd wager on it and he said "sure". I said "OK. Let's bet on it being AWD and the loser pays for the cost of a title for the other guy". He then cleverly retorted, "uh, duh, err, umm, eeek" and literally walked away without another word.

Saw a white ZL1 with black accents on cars.com the other day. Looked badazz. But I'm thinking of going with an equally expensive, slower but comfier option. I've been obsessed with CTS-V's this week.

This experience was almost as priceless as the time, maybe 5 or so years ago, I was cruising the parking lot at a Nissan Dealer looking at the 350Z's in stock. I was driving my 71 240Z and a salesman walked over while I was sitting there. He said "what are you doing?" and I told him that I was just looking. He then said, "That's a nice car, who makes it?"

I asked if there were any special qualifications one needed for selling cars. He said there were not and I believed him.

I think I'll keep my stockers incase I do the occasional track day... Or sell them (the stockers) and get a square 18" Volk TE37 setup for the track... We'll see, I have a lot on my plate for the Z right now, track days aren't even a thought right now.

The roads are wet today so I'm doing some e-shopping. I'm considering buying some fancy race ramps today...

mmm volks....

hey Gale, have you ever heard of companies widening STOCK wheels.. ?

:bowrofl: yeah, a guy tried to sell my brother on the Civic si as a rally car a few years back, noting that they competed in the "WRX"

Although I prefer stories of salesmen trying to get one over on me. I don't take well to that. Had a guy tell me "See that couple that just entered the showroom? They're here to look at the same car you are!" I told him, "Don't let me hold you up. Go sell it to them!" He didn't know how to react.

Probably coupe. I don't care about the old guy image. They have the great engine, suspension, and brakes, and the seats look amazing. I'll have to go sit in one to be sure, tho.

Kind of reminds me of the Nissan salesman who told me the only difference between the 370Z and an Altima Coupe was the price.

The Ford Focus does too. Does that mean evry Focus is a rally car? If I had to choose I would go with the coupe. Just cannot get into 4 door performance cars.
