i had to remove the inner seal on the valve cap so that the cap tightens down all the way on the stem.
otherwise the thread of the stem is exposed. it doesn't really need the seal anyway, imho especially
on my hobby car.

Mr.kenchan,  on the 35mm purchase, f/1.8 or f/1.4??

Mr.kenchan, for the DSLR, I would suggest you use something at least 17mm or wider, 20mm doesn't give you too much a wide angle view.

 Looking good, the black is cool!!

gmorning, mr.alcheng! :hello: sounds good that the exhaust fits your roaster.

the 35mm prime...humm, not sure which f/ it is. :icon17: i just bought the one that 600+ reviews were all giving 5 stars. :icon17: it's not like i know how to work the camera anyways so i will need to play with it.

thanks on the tip for the wide lens. the reason for the 20 or even 18 is because i like the round shape i can get on my cars using the distortion of the lens. it gives more artistic feel (well to me). 35mm is borderline.. i think it's like it can give partial roundness/distortion but more for every day bakachon camera.

That was in Loomis but right after I started my car. It settled down to 109, which I think was about correct.

Mr.kenchan, maybe I didn't state clear in my post :icon17:

When I say 20mm or wider, it means lower "mm", thus 17 and lower 'mm' to give you a wider view and rounder effect

I do have the Nikon 17-35mmf/2.8, when use it with a DSLR, it is wide but not wide enough because of the 1.5X on DSLR.

To achieve that distortion effect but not as much as a fisheye lens, you need 10mm to 16mm.

I am currently using a 11-16mmf/2.8 lens to achieve that.

Hope that clear my statement.

Good Day....! :tiphat:

hi mr.alcheng. nono, i understood you perfectly. and yah, i will need to play with the prime to see what i get. i wanted to first get the normal everyday lens to familarize myself with it. it's a f/1.8.

from there i will probably get something wider for that distorted look i want to get. plus, i can use it for landscape shots. i found these wide lenses to be lots of $$ :ugh2: thus we all want to borrow mr.alchemy's. :icon17:

hope you finish off work before heading out so you dont have to think/worry about it during your vacation.
