Got my tracking number from Fedex, and I see that my Shine Spats are gonna be here on Wednesday! :excited:

I just saw that I got an email from thezstore.com and they say the Evo-R lip is out of stock and not expected for 6-8 WEEKS!!! :shakes head: I'm thinking it's time to look elsewhere for one. :(

Jeez, how hard is it to to put an "out of stock" notification on the site.

:excited: <= mr.happy. evo-r's been notorious for pissing customers off with long leadtimes...
and poor fitment. :(

mr.gale- i made that tripod mount tonight on the satechi. now no more issue about cocked swivel.
i can adjust 180 degrees if i want to. :icon17:

rattling switches to minimize unwanted noise. :)

I've heard of them doing that so I called when I ordered my fangs. If you must have the EVO-R lip, I would wait to get it from theZstore because they are easier to deal with if you have bad product... In my experience with EVO-R product, it's hit or miss...

Agggghhh! Now I don't know whether I should just cancel the order and go with something else entirely. :(

Isn't the aerojacket lip the same thing as the Evo-R lip? They're both sunline replicas right? That and the shine auto lip. Jeez... That's a lot of replicas lol.

With my 2 year old sleeping all the way, I turned and burned Tildon park, Muir woods and hwy 1 north of S.F. (what great places to run the gears) I have no idea how he can sleep through that... maybe I'm just that smooth lol.

I got a thumbs-up from some guy going the other way (north) in a black 370, but did not see if he had a 370z.com sticker (we were both pushing a bit...) Anyhow it is definitely a brotherhood (and sisterhood I suppose) out there. I love that other 370 bubbas always get as exited to see me as I am to see them!!!

Puts lots of miles on the z today (120 all city driving) I went to a large car meet, but felt very out of place. 80% of the cars were some.form of real performance car.

Then I went on a lake shore drive cruise. Its one of the most famous roads in Chicago and runs between the city and the lake. Makes for spectacular views.

Unfortunately on my way there I bottomed out on an uneven road and scratched my exhaust :(

here are a few pix from my awesome drive today.

This may be a low quality alternitive, but i just put in my iRadar thingie that links in with the Iphone, but the mount is actually pretty sweet and fits on the dash way better than i thought it would.http://www.the370z.com/members/surfd...0-img-0294.jpg

It just sits up on the dash next to the gauge cluster, but the detector works well (made by Cobra) and the iPhone interface is pretty cool. The very well made half suction/half sticky mount is solid on the dash plastic which was a big surprise!

Yours is cooler of course, but the iRadar is worth a look.

No sir. The AeroJacket, Sunline and Shine Auto are SLR-Type lips, whereas the Evo-R is unique.

Morning everyone! :hello:

Mr.gale- I have a e-clip on the tripod knob thingie so it doesn't fall off the mount.
That knob was part of the headrest mount I modded. :p not in the pict, but using a 5mm thick rubber washer between the mount and recorder.

Surf- nice job on the mount. I purposely wanted to place the recorder in the same plane as my seating position to get the closest sound experience recorded, so this is why I placed there. :)

pulling out the Z in 25!

DLSTR 06-23-2012 07:03 AM
