I doubt it. With all of the electronic gizmos, safety equipment, and sound deadening cars are only going to get heavier. Instead of making a car that handles well they have a computer control body roll (magnetorheological shocks). I enjoy big power, but not in exchange of increased weight. The funny thing is that muscle cars in the past weighted less than most sports cars now. If you want to do burnouts and go fast in a straight line you get a GT500, or a Challenger. You wanna have an all around kick a$$ vehicle you get a Z.

The only muscle car/Sports car manufactured in America that I like is the 'Tang, but the reliability of the Japs I've owned keeps me going back, especially Nissan. So, U.S. car manufacturers are gonna have to adapt to survive, I guess.

There is one company, not sure which it is off the top of my head, its a spyder convertable, I know that, and they made it with no stereo, no AC, even no cup holder, so they can save on weight. Its a pure sports/muscle car.

edit: Its a Porsche boxster spider $61K

I may be young but I love muscle cars. My dad has a 67 GTO with Tri Power four speed. That car is a beast. I am a young guy not even 23 yet and I have two cars including my z. i feel blessed to have them and my dad was telling live life to your fulliest because 2tm isnt promised. Sounds stupid but its true. The 370z is an amazing car. Before I got the car, I looked at the gt mustangs, ss camero, sti, wrz but the z just stood out to me. Its kinda crazy how the american car markers are bringing back the old body styles into this new era. For that 28k i spent for my z with sports package i wouldnt take it back. But i really think the muscle car era is going away and next thing you know its we will have a electic z that turbochargerd lol

end of the muscle car?..is this a trick question?..lol..seems like every domestic manufacturer is bringin back there "muscle cars"...more streamline with more power..but to answer your question it would have to be no.

Last generation of the Z though...fat chance. Nissan has a huge Z following and automakers are struggling to be profitable. Unless this Z falls flat on its face with sales, I think we're bound to see more iterations in the future.

I love the Zs but Nissan is pissing me off with all thier lies and poor customer service. I think is about time Toyota and/or Mazda bring back the Supra and/or RX-7.
