Default Oil

Cant comment on that but very nice set of wheels and tires. It makes the Z go.

That's quite odd. In my Z, after I switched to synthetic I noticed the temps drop a good 15-20 degrees than normal.

Well I had a conversation on that subject when I changed from Ester to Synthetic. He was talking about the molecular structure not braking as fast as in conventional oil and that was the reason for the car running hot.

Don't get me lying, I'm not a scientist so his explanation was way over my head.

I have always used synthetic oil in my cars including a 350Z, however as we all know the 370 runs hot anyway.

What temps are you getting?

I found the opposite to be true. I am running much cooler now since switching from dino oil to synthetic.

Exact same level? If you ran a tad overfull vs. now, that means less surface area for heat transfer.

Hotter weather? If it's been a few months since last oil change, keep in mind it's getting hot out as summer rolls on.

Harder driving than usual following an oil change? if you were flooring it/driving at high speeds for an extended time, you may have just generated more heat than you typically do.

Finally, What brand/weight of oil? Some probably do run a bit hotter than others. Doesn't necessarily mean it's not doing its job, tho'.
