I believe it just needs to be in ACC mode. At least I'm pretty sure that's how I did mine... Although ON, but not started, works too.

Has the lock issue happen to any roadsters yet? Just curious only been seen coupes affected by ths.

Yes it has. Had it fail in my 2011 Roadster.

I can't see the roadster having a different steering lock unit than the coupes....therefore it will be prone to the same problems.

ok, i'm not reading through all 43 pages to confirm this. But can someone confirm that in fact the car needs to be in ACC while the fuse is pulled? Is this so that the lock puts itself into the unlock position?

EDIT: silly me....first post on this page confirms it :rolleyes:

Mine went on the flatbed yesterday, getting new steering installed now. I called Nissan corporate and they will get back to me tomorrow if they will cover it

Did a little preventative maintenance today and yanked the fuse. Funny how something so small could cost so much to fix! Kinda reminds me of those flyin gizmos in Tron:
