Curious about your DD

I am curious to find out what you guys drive as your daily drivers? Do you drive your Z? If not, what do you commute with?

I drive a 1998 Nissan Altima. What about you?

wheee! 05-25-2012 09:15 PM

1996 Ford Contour GL.... total piece of crap but man, it sure makes getting into the Z a treat!

kellyefields 05-25-2012 09:17 PM

my Z is my daily driver and it is supercharged to boot, most fun you can have comuting to work on four wheels. Plus when I get lonely at work I can go out and see her.:tup:

rhd 05-25-2012 09:20 PM

Drove the 01 Silverado boat hauler today... rained most of the day.

The Z is the DD as long as the weather is nice!

fuzzywuzzy 05-25-2012 09:20 PM

Why would you drive a different car as your DD? Why would you make yourself miserable for your daily commute?

I wear boots in the car all the time... Just have a change of mats or buy a new one in 3-4 years

I daily a Mazda6. Believe it or not, it's quite fun to drive. I like that it will take a beating and get me home in snow and rain.

Then the Z is my weekend car, my toy. I can start a mod job on it that leaves a seat or a wheel off of it for a week and not have to worry about getting to work.

Plus, given that I experience four seasons in MD, I can leave all-season rubber on the 6 and summer tires on the Z. max performance, baby. :D

6MT 05-25-2012 09:44 PM

'09 Honda Civic. I drive 110kms everyday....45 miles per gallon baby!

Bucketlist2012 05-25-2012 10:03 PM

When I did commute, it was usually my 1999 F 150, rain or shine..Or the old 350Z automatic.

We have the worst traffic in the bay area..

I would never take the Z/28 4 speed with the big cam.. Never..

I am thinking about getting a civic for my next daily driver how do you like yours?

Zerenity 05-25-2012 11:40 PM

07 Suzuki Hayabusa. It's faster than my Z. If I need to haul something, take someone with me or it's raining, I'll take my 01 Maxima.

Boost_lee 05-25-2012 11:43 PM

06 Tacoma

99 Acura Integra. Every second I'm in it, it makes me miss my Z even more.

forza370z 05-26-2012 12:58 AM

98 Nissan Pathfinder. Depends on my mod - sometimes I want to be in a manly truck sometimes I want to be in my sexy 370Z to get more attentions.:)

My thoughts exactly. Half the reason my 40 mile (one way, 80 mile/day) commute is bearable is thanks to the fact I am driving my 370z.

Not quite 2 years old yet and already over 40k miles on her.

Versa_Drifter 05-26-2012 03:29 AM

I use a pair of 1990 Human Leg as my DD. Only about 4km daily. And i get like 20km per meal, so thats pretty good.

Mike 05-26-2012 05:56 AM

2011 Honda CR-Z.

My 370 isn't really street friendly and it won't clear the speed humps at my work parking lot.

Getting tired of the honda though. Thinking about getting a 328 coupe.

I find the boots scuff the sills and interior sidewalls too much by accident. Plus, I am a maintainer and work with the floor chimps. Grease and oil everywhere and probably on my boot bottoms too.

I have good rubber mats for the car but don't use them anymore since she is a fair weather lady :p

I have a Lincoln MKX as well, and when the Contour dies (soon) I will be driving it to work. Lots of room for military kit and much more reliable in bad weather. Just like the Edge but no EcoBoost. The wife has the Lincoln now and when the Contour dies (not soon enough), she gets a new car (Juke?Subie?) and I get the Lincoln...... if anyone remembers, I bought the Z for her, and it has become mine  Now I have to buy her a NEW new car! :icon17:

Odin 05-26-2012 12:16 PM

My Z is my DD.

LunaZ 05-26-2012 02:17 PM

The Z is my fair weather DD.
Drive a Ford Ranger In the winter or when it rains. Comes in handy for Home Depot trips, too.
Drive the wife's C320 when I want to carry people or look inconspicuous or grown up.
Drive a Miata when there's a parking lot full of cones.

I DD my Z

Its stored for 4 months out of the year for winter, so when I'm finally behind the seat again...I am not getting out!

NS370Z 05-26-2012 03:16 PM

08 Mazda 3 hatch. It's a nice tight little car with reasonable gas mileage. I'm getting the Z as a toy only. No inclement weather unless caught in it.

Red_Z 05-26-2012 03:30 PM

kenchan 05-26-2012 03:35 PM
