Meanwhile, I'm a lead systems engineer and I daily drive my Z to work. It gets all the stares and applauds...but probably if I were program management they'd go "...wtf?" lol

You daily drive Rin now? What happened to Subie?

It's all subjective.

My eyes feel as if black wheels have a cheap/bland feel to the car. Maybe I relate it to steel wheels on a base model-beater car. Black rims give off almost a dirty vibe. Chrome rims give off a ghetto vibe. The clean stock 370z rims give off a sexy, sharp, chic vibe. But again...that's all subjective. I personally like 5 star silver wheels...simple, sporty, blends well with many cars, and they're easy to clean.

Some guys love black or chrome rims. Some don't. Get what you like...because you're not driving a Lexus in the first place.

The ONLY WAY chrome looks ghetto is on an exaggerated design on 22's and up. If you buy axis wheels in black? Then I can see a cheap look. Many matte designs are hard to pull off without a full matte paint job. Base whees are not good looking at all. Sport and Nismo look nice.

A lexus is a glorified toyota as infiniti is a glorified nissan. Nice cars but class doesn't come from an upgraded nissan with standard leather.
You talking Benz? You saying something. BMW yeah, jaguar, absolutely. Land Rover, definately. Audi, depending on which model. Porsche. Yes... acura??? Hahahahahaaaa.

But like you said. Everyone has there opinions.

Instead of black, have them painted gun metal like the Z33 Nismos. Understated, but different. Looks great with red.

Well here's the thing - I'm all about class, and I was looking at BMW, Audi, and Benz, but the moment I test drove the Z I fell in love. I'm young (24), and although the drive is great on the luxury cars, that's what they are - luxury, and i'm looking for more of a sporty car. For the price range, I don't think you can beat the drive of a car like the Z. I've decided on the Z, and I really like the look of black/gun metal powder coated rims on the red, but I just don't think it would be professional enough for my work. But I think a stock Z would be professional, just not classy like an Audi, which I'm fine with, because every other person is driving a BMW, Benz, or Audi in my profession, so I'd like to stick out (but not in a "ghetto" way lol)
