As-is - un-modified....not for track ........
Seems like almost everybody on this site has, or is, going to modify, or track, their 370Z. Just curious how many members are simply going to leave their Z as-is?
|
I'm not fixing my Z with any major mods for now .. jus throwing on the Fairlady Z badge, the Nismo spoiler, and tint in the near future. How bout you?
|
my will stay as is for a while. its my daily driver and its main purpose is getting me to work and back every day.
I have a set of GT600R turbos, manifolds, new injectors, fuel rail etc at home waiting to be put on my 300ZXTT. That will satisfy my desire to mod a car for now. |
aside from clear bra & tints, i will be doing absolutely nothing to my Z... mods just arn't my style
|
I purposely bought mine in 7AT with the intentions of driving my Z as a daily driver.
However, that isn't going to stop me from cosmetic upgrades to separate my Z from the thousands of other 370Z's that going to flood the LA market. Mods I'm looking into the near future on my Z are new shoes, springs, badges, and a HFC for a deeper tone. |
Interesting thread. It will be interesting to see the replys.

I'm keeping mine stock until the warranty runs out. Accessories i.e. non-mechanical/electrical maybe.
Hey LSU, I see you got a nice yellow z32 tt and your 370. If you had to choose between those 2, brand new to brand new, which one would you take? And which do you like better, honestly? |
I think one's past history with cars, in a way might pre-determine the modify or not story. I have had a nice assortment of rides (56 Studebaker Golden Hawk...68 Camaro SS396...73 Trans Am...65 Griffith...05 Subaru Baja...), that tempted modification, but I resisted. The 370Z will similarly fit into the same non-modified track record.

Outside of breaking down for a cat back exhaust I am essentially done with modding. With family, kids and other related activities I just do not have the time to tinker like I use to. Maybe at the tender age of 37 I am turning into my dad.

Nope...Can't do it, but The car really doesn't need much...
Done: Stillen Exhaust, Custom Oil Cooler, 15mm spacers In process: Custom CAI system with front feeds, Adapting my Sparco seats to the Z, Blacked out grill Soon: Swaybars |
I will keep mine simple, as this is my first sports car and the power with stock is already enough. Currently have done a rebadge to Fairlady Z, might pick up the rear fog light, spacers on the stock wheels to make them flush, added a short shifter (which is great). Performance wise I have on my list the standard intake, exhaust, HFC, but I want to enjoy the stock for as long as possible and then go and add those features in.

Kid still in (and paying for) college.... I dont have the time or money at the moment.
My Z will remain stock for a little while :ugh2: |
Mods
Put me down for not much. Added illuminated kick panels and tinted the windows. This little rocket has sufficient power to get me in trouble as is. I'm just waiting to get the break in period over, it's just miserable putting those initial miles on. Looking to keep this long term=reliability.

Stock here. Street only. It's a great car as it is.
|
I think for right now I'm sticking with mods that won't test the warranty should something arise. Its the first year this car is out, and if any bugs should come about I would want to be able to get it fixed.
So for now its tint, clear bra, exhaust. When things pan out i'll probably add more to the list. |
