I think you should look into Ferrari, mclaren, Lamborghini etc because it sounds like you'll never be able to appreciate what you have if someone beats you off a light.
:stirthepot:

But if you bought a Ferrari a tuned Supra could beat you.

lemon-fresh 04-18-2012 12:03 PM

bugatti veyron should eventually win every straight line race. Might be an option.

In a straight line? The new Genesis... yes. Around a track? Probably not.

You need to get out more. My Z was potent with every bolt on and tune. My friends Genesis had a CAI and CBE and guess what? I wasn't blowing his doors off by any means.

Don't downplay a less expensive car made in Korea. It's actually a better bang for the buck than the Z. Interior isn't half bad either.

You didn't buy a crappy car. You just didn't buy the fastest. But that's ok because there's always going to be someone faster anyway. Whatever. Enjoy a car for all that it has to offer and ignore the trolls, haters and otherwise ignorant people.

NYBladeZ 04-18-2012 12:34 PM

If I had to be the fastest I'd probably want a GTR but I am likely one of the true "haters" of the GTR on here. Its blazing fast but no "soul" quoting HP and performance stats won't put a smile on my face like the Z did. Now if the GTR had a manual option I'd be all over it. I know I know I'm extremely picky and want a car that is fast, handles great, looks great, and makes me smile all the time while driving.

I'm completely with you on this one. IF they offered a manual option then maybe... and a facelift lol

BTW.. given your last sentence here... you sound like a perfect candidate for an M3 :D

NYBladeZ 04-18-2012 12:50 PM

3 buddies already have one, otherwise I would be tempted by the darkside. Then again, they all got M's because it is a great car. I would love a 1M but good luck finding one.

Haus!

speedfreek 04-18-2012 12:55 PM

Well then what you need is the up and coming Skyline

Infiniti working on 530-HP twin-turbo IPL model for G

If it comes to fuition here in the States it will be interesting to see where the final sticker price falls. It will be canabalizing their own sales with the GT-R unless of course they take away the rear seats from the GT-R to make it even lighter and faster.

NYBladeZ 04-18-2012 12:57 PM

I might just have to hoard cash and wait till the 25 year rule applies to the R34 Skyline. Honestly though guys, the lotus I drove today, I found out it has the Blade 300 kit, giving it 300hp at crank...it was amazing.

Because you're right, the car is made to go 140mph, and I'd like to experience that. I won't in good conscience do that on a public road. Neither will I brake hard at the last second and fling it through an apex on the edge of losing it. That's too dangerous to do in public, but this car was built to do it. :D

Amazing here in Germany on designated sections you can do most of what you posted in public, safely on the Autobahn with like minded, well trained drivers. The US, roads, police and all of it leave me ....well feeling frustrated. Throw in the Nurburgring and I wonder why bother living in the US again, Im a car hound and in the US you are now some enemy or something. Its nuts. I do not miss the US for such things car related. Its just a bummer.

:iagree:

Most people out there are always looking for more power doesn't matter what they drive.

Are you honestly trying to compare how Germany is better than the US?,lol

The Autobahn is a Mecca for speed freaks and car enthusiast, but I heard the unlimited speed areas can get hampered by traffic. I'm pretty sure Germany has its fair amount of 'unskilled' drivers also. I doubt every German receives a racing license before they are allowed to drive. Wasn't there a 50 car pile up a few months ago that killed 3 people? As for the Nurburgring, that too is a Mecca for wannabe racers like myself... and it too has traffic, lol.

There are plenty of famous tracks in the US also you know.

This has been my feeling ever since I drove a GTR. I was set to buy one, then no MT. I bought the Z instead and saved the money I wanted to spend.

The 1M is so rare. BMW feels americans do not want it for some reason so they do not make it.

Am I wrong with this statement?
