My wife's step-bro has a 350Z. You should see all the crap he carries around in the back of his car on a daily basis.

Here is the bike. I doubt it would change the COG of the car even if I was going to go with a roof rack. Not like I'd be racing around with a bike on the roof anyway.

All vehicles are multi-purpose. I use a motorcycle for commuting duty sometimes.

Hell, I've used this bicycle for commuting when I lived closer to work. A couple years ago I put more miles on that bike in one year than I did on my car.

Nice Ducati bike..... If ur looking to fit a bicycle in the trunk get a G37 bc it has more space & you can put the back seats down. I can care-a-less what will or will not fit in my truck of the Z. If I am going to put a lot of stuff in the truck, then I will use my Fusion.

+1. I have a 2012 altima to haul shyt. My 2011 Z is for straight up chillin'. But I also have loaded 200 smacks worth of groceries in my trunk and other things too. I can get 4 loaded duffel bags in there, an inflatable raft called the SS rio grande and 2 illegal mexicans stuffed up in there... lol.

Never tried a bike though...

Lol.

LMAO...... The Mexicans are to wash the rides first, then mow the grass/landscape.......lol. You can probably fit 2-3 duffle bags in the back, or 2 small suite cases.

WAIT is that the Ducati Monster..... Super EFFEN sweet. I love the monster.

LakeShow 04-12-2012 11:57 PM

You can fit 3 dead Snooki's in the hatch.

Ok the mexican thing was all in fun. Let's not get over-stereotypical with the washing n grass cutting.

:ugh2:

Maybe he can fit a bike rack on the multi-purpose Ducati. Lol. It is hot though.

I ride a 2010 Specialized Roubaix Expert and while I haven't tried, I really don't think it'd fit in my Z.

It fits just fine in my XTerra 4x4 Off-Road, though :) I don't even have to take the wheels off!

The Z has a good amount of room... for a sports car. I have to remove the driver and fairway metals from my golf bag to get the bag in the hatch, and then lay them diagonally across the hatch (and they barely fit).

A case of wine will fit in the hatch pushed up towards the seats, but because of the slope of the rear glass, it's too tall to fit in the hatch closer to the rear of the car.

If I didn't have another vehicle to transport bigger stuff in, I probably would've bought an STI with a roof rack instead of the Z.

Nice Ducati, BTW. I ride a 2011 Speed Triple. Maybe I'll see you out on Palomar!

I don't understand some posters. They get on and ask a question. Then, when they don't like the answer, they just do what they wanted to do anyways.

Thanks, it is a 2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO. I've been up to Palomar on it a few times but I stopped going up there on the weekend because it just gets crazy up there. I bought the bike in June and have just under 6,000 miles on it already. It is my 3rd bike but my first Ducati. I freaking love it.

JulesD 04-13-2012 12:05 PM

Nevermind. I don't mean to pick a fight or be argumentative. I'll just let this go. :D

Man I think if somebody saw this on your vehicle your car would probably get keyed, or possibly a nasty note left on your windshield. I would recommend just taking the effen bike apart (not entirely) to make it fit.

Hmmmm.......... NO. One should save himself the embarrassment, or the possibility of getting shanked (cut...knifed....just my opinion).

In all fairness someone at my work has a bicycle rack for their motor bike. It looks absolutely ridiculous but it works I guess.

scsuh 04-16-2012 10:56 AM

wow, talk about digressing. the OP clearly asked whether or not a road bike could fit in the hatch of a 370z. it's a simple yes or no question. he wasn't being rhetorical. there's absolutely no reason to put any type of value-judgment on that question. he's not asking "should I," he's asking "could I". some people....

to the op: i don't own a 370z or a road bike, so I can't answer your question per se. but it seems like you've already figured it out. good luck with the purchase.

Yeah... and he got the answer in the first 3 posts. But your OP keeps pushing the topic so what's your real gripe? If he keeps pushing the topic he will keep getting answers.

Could one fit a road bike back there with the wheels removed? I'm an avid cyclist and this is a must for me.

I found a nice 2011 model year with nav and leather for $33,999. Only 5 miles on it and I'm kind of considering buying it.

Thanks!

Is that the white one that Mossy Nissan is selling? If so they tried to get me to buy that one in February, but I told them I wasn't looking for a white one, even if it was $7K off sticker (a smokin' deal for sure). I bought a gun metalic base/sport/AT7 instead.

I was asked by Nissan sales man "What are you searching for?"
My answer "the trunk."
Salesman: "That's it!"

I almost did not buy the car. If I can't get my weeks worth of groceries inside, what would I do? I asked for a waste can that approximated a paper shopping bag and found I could get about a dozen bags in the back. That is far more than I'd buy.

The bottom line is that the Z rear has far more room than it appears. Still you can not call it roomy.

Yeah I can jam $200 of groceries in there with a 12pk of paper towels. Lol.
