Good luck -- it sucks when a 10 dollar part replacement becomes a day-long ordeal.

I hear ya. We had to give up for the day. Its soaking in PB Blaster for the night. The nut is locked on the stud and the stud is threading out, but then gets stuck. Hopefully the PB loosens one of them up.

When I get to that point, I go for the nuclear option and cut the nut with a nut-splitter or my die grinder.
