Is this your first set of PSS?

happytheman 04-14-2012 01:28 AM

Yes. I've run Michelins before, but it was the PS2 (IIRC) and it was like a 45 series 17" tire. They were way better than all the sets of Yokohamas that I blew through over the years.

Yeah I know it sounds crazy, but I've been using it for over a year and never had a problem. The blade is a really soft rubber, and I keep it really clean. Not to mention every time before I use it I scrub it down with soap and water. I figure it would be easier to spot some dirt or sand on the blade rather than hidden in a drying cloth.

Morning, Mr. Alchemy.

So I have the rears exactly in the middle and the fronts 1/4 turn "more tight" than the rears. This was the starting point for me and today I am going to loosen by 1/4 turn front and rear. They are a little stiff with my current settings and I am gong to keep the fronts a bit stiffer tha the reas. I hope this helps.

I can PM my phone number if you want to discuss this -- let me know.

Good luck, man.

Not too much is happening with the Z today -- minor Koni adjustment and wash. I am taking the Juke in for the post-break-in oil change and inspection.

We are celebrating first son Colin's BD tomorrow and one his buddies is bringing his back-to-the-future mobile and I am getting some photos while it's here. Here is one Colin shot.

Good morning misters! The woman and I are about to head out to go on a cruise with my Z club and taste some nice wines at Bluemont Vineyard. We're taking the S2000 to enjoy the weather.

Up early to watch the F1 qualification. Quik Z drive to the VW dealer to get the new front spoiler for the new GTI(update to German spec).

Just finished full detail. Polished and wax'd the new paint yesterday. Did the rest of the car today as well. Nice clean and shiny!

For swaybars it recommended to start with soft front, soft rear. Your suspension setup, alignment, etc. will have an effect on your swaybars, so it's good to expirement with them. I went with soft front, middle rear. It's not bad, but I'm going to try hard front middle rear and see the difference. I haven't noticed any unwarranted over/under steer with my current setup, but figure it's easy enought to change the settings on the swaybar, so I'll experiment.

Have fun turning wrenches today.

The only thing worse than rain, is having a beautiful day and not being able to drive the Z. Guess what kind of day I have. We can have a pity party, I'll bring the whine, you bring the cheese. :icon17:

I'm Mr.Mom today so no Z driving for me. If you don't see any posts from me in 8 hours, send help. My two year old has probably duct taped me to the floor and has overtaken the house.

Skeeterbop 04-14-2012 08:49 AM

I took the Z to the strip last night. I still suck, but my reaction times were pretty good. They were all within .1 seconds of the light (it was a .5 tree) with my best being a .5473. I still need to work on my 60' though.

No. They released in early 2011.
