Glad he let you off! Sound like a stand up Officer.

All I was with him was respectful, honest and a teensy bit remorseful. He was a nice guy. i told him I did not need any enemies in the town where I worked. He agreed.

I got pulled over once for 50 in a 25 residential. Officer was an older guy but appreciated my respect and remorse. Wrote me up for 40 in non residential so I would avoid a 500+ fine and mandatory court appearance. Its amazing how far respect and courtesy will get you.

Funny thing is I got that ticket in the slowest car I've owned... my '06 Civic sedan!

Mr.onzedge, glad to hear you ran into a nice officer and the most exciting part(getting a ticket) didn't happen...

Ms.Pintsize725, you found a nice/reasonable mechanic to install the CBE for you? How much are they charging you??

Good Evening Everone!!!

I got a ticket for 65 in a 55 even though I was in a 45 zone. I was nice and explained I was trying to get things done for the 4th of July parade just after getting out of the Marines after the first Gulf War. He didn't seem to care. I don't think he ever noticed I was in a 45 zone. That was my last ticket and it was in my 64 Plymoth Fury drag car July 4th 1991.

What's your temptation?

GaleForce 05-02-2012 09:04 PM

Good to hear everything went well Mr.onzedge.

I have been nothing but respectful and honest the few times I've been pulled over. It hasn't helped yet.

GaleForce 05-02-2012 09:05 PM

Good evening Mr.alcheng :hello:

OFC FTW!

Thanks for all of the good wishes and bail money offers.

It’s true: The first question the nice Rocklin Police Officer asked was "Are those Super Sports?", followed by "Show me your Konis".

I was on my way to a client this afternoon and this bozo in a Camry was first tailgating and then got alongside and was pacing me regardless of my speed. that kind of stuff really bothers me so I decided to get away from that car. (I was not racing in any way). Alas, I was not paying attention and was driving a bit spiritedly. He asked if I knew why he was pulling me over and I said "I was being stupid". He agreed. I apologized and called him sir in every sentence. (he was half my age if that). I also told him that I am a careful driver with a clean record, but that I will accept the consequences.

He went back to his car and ran me. I hate that waiting part -- wondering if I have any warrants I have forgotten about, etc.

He came back, told me that he is warning me, but that he could have written me up for 55 in a 40 just on what he saw. I said "at least that... Oops, I mean -- thank you officer".
I then told him I would be more careful and he wished me a good day.

Sorry the story is not more exciting. I could not post more detail earlier, being onsite and all.

Thanks for reading.

What are you talking about? It poured buckets on Tuesday morning!
I actually enjoy driving in the rain. I just hate cleaning my car afterwards. Gotta wash the insides of the wheels and get underneath the car to clean the road grime off the exhaust and suspension bits.
