Mr. Alchang, what exactly are you doing to make your plastidip not rip when you pull the tape off? I did my fangs but even though I went slow and tried to cut it with a blade, it tore kinda ragged in places. I'll probably redo it.

Oh and I forgot to say, last night I tore my car apart and finished my system install. Pioneer HU, Zenclosure, Kicker zx400.1 amp, and an old 12" Sony xplode sub to hold me over until I decide on a new one. Might be installing some infinity reference speakers soon too :)

I think you meant me Huck!!! ALCHEMY not Alcheng, lol!!!!!! Its hard to remove it without ripping. I run a razor blade very lightly around where Im gonna peel. Its tough. I just ripped it taking it off my mirror and had to do some touch up. The key is taking your time. I have been at this for about 4-5 hrs already today.

Does it finish rough or smooth? i know it is matte-ish... i wounder if you do enough layers if you can sand it smooth if it is rough... and then put a clear over it... idk....

Sorry man, I'm half asleep right now. Good stuff, I guess I'll just have to try it again and go even slower.

Memories (I think that was your name, im on tapatalk) you can't sand plastidip, it's like a rubber coating, if you try to sand it, it will just tear up. They do have a clear coat for it though to make it a bit glossier.

Ok guys just finished. Messed up my drivers side mirrors so Im gonna touch it up tomorrow. Im done spray painting for the day. Here are some pics.

Done with my detailing for the day. I have a small wallmount Shopvac that I tried for the first time. Has alot of power for it's size. Ok now for the post that will make Kensan put me on his perm. ignore list. I and waxed my car with wait for it, wait for it, Mothers California Gold Liquid wax. Sorry I don't have a 30 step Zeino system like Kensan. Car did turn out very nice. :ughdance:

Nice job Alchemy. I think with a little spray and wipe with a black detailer the mirror mount will match the plasti dip. :tup:
