I feel like Honda has become like Toyota. it used to be Toyotas were smoother and quieter, while Hondas were slightly sportier (sportIER, not necessarily sporty). My sister's v6 Accord from 2007 feels pretty good, relatively tight steering and super stiff brakes. My gf's new 2012 Civic coupe feels super numb, though. It's like you're sitting in a moving bubble isolated from the road and world and it almost glides forward with no weight and super soft brakes similar to her older Corolla's. It feels sort of weird. My other sister's CRV has the same feeling to it as well. These days, Honda seems to be the same as Toyota (although the FRS will give Toyota something interesting once again) and Nissan is the sporty brand of practical reliable cars.

On an unrelated not,e the new Kia Optima is surprisingly a decent looking normal car. It might give the Altima and Focus a run for their money in my practical second car rankings.

We have friends in Albany and a place called Malone..but if I lived in the city I would not even own a car..just use the subway...who can stand all that traffic??

I'll pay $10 a gallon BUT I WILL NOT take the train. Take it for a week and let's see how you like. And traffic? What traffic. Aint no traffic in NYC. Go drive in São Paulo, Brasil and then you'll see what "traffic" really is.

201hp from a recycled TSX 2.4L requiring the same premium gas as a Z, but with the torque of a wooden cart drawn by a team of hamsters.

People are sorry to say it sometimes stupid.... she's never even heard of a 370z.

here is a good one. my wife got me the new OnStar FMV mirror for my 370
for my birthday since my z came with the base radio. side note it works great.

anyway the other day i had a reason to call OnStar and the customer rep
asked for my password and then asked me if i was calling about the three seven zero z !!!!!!!!what no i replyed it's called a 370z one word... but i should have known she works for GM..........:ughdance:

It's ironic that the OP doesn't even know the Si's stock hp... LOL

lol1234 04-12-2012 10:51 AM

C'mon, Honda makes some damn good cars and the Civic Si starts at what? 22k? reliable, good mpg.

Hate the drivers not the car. Every group has them.

I agree that the Civic Si is a nicely built vehicle. The latest 2012 one, not so much.

brucelidat 04-12-2012 01:28 PM

The SI does have very comfortable seats though. Sat in one when my gf was shopping for her Civic.

Zenki370 04-12-2012 02:18 PM

Why spend 22K on a new civic SI, when you can find a 2009 370Z with 30K on it for 22K like I did..certified preowned with 7yr/100k mind you.

I'm right there with both of you !!! That's why I barely even go to the city and if I do is at night parking in the street but stay by my car. Do not leave the sight. I learned my lesson with my last car -__-

And to anyone saying "Hondas are good cars" -__- Hondas are Hidious cars. Have you seen the interior of a accord. Ugh they disgust me. I'd get Toyota over it. A Volvo.

MacLean 04-12-2012 11:26 PM

She might have thought that the Si could actually compete, or was better.

Yeah but the NYc subway system is the most fun system there is. People in new york aren't drones. So you get a lot of culture and interraction in the NYC subway. Just don't stand to close to the ledge. Somebody might throw you in the tracks just cuz. Lol
