The first 1200 miles took 3 weeks. The next 4000 miles took 6.25 months. I'm at 54xx miles now. :) my car is a chillin car, not a commuter. :) but I like to enjoy it. Not put ,1200 miles a year. Lol.

It's actually fairly normal to me to have a car(s) that play second fiddle to a daily driver. Each day I can pull out of the garage past the Z and chevelle without any hesitations etc. I have done this most of my life with cars. It feels fairly normal to me. :happydance:

1k 10k 250k

replying due hitting 10k this week, 8 months after 1rst drive.

10k is milestone of sorts, end of 'honeymoon' no-issue period, traditionally, and cap for the much maligned VSC/warranty extension limit for lower end pricing ; did do a 4yr/48k gold pref last week for extra mileage w/Nissan.

My first Z, 08 350e, had a full trans change @ 25k, also 1 rear strut fail, 1 catalytic sensor burnout, about same time -all $5k+ worth covered under stock warranty. Plus window motor replaced after warranty, $380. All to say that VSC seems worthwhile for near term failures.

A DD it is, tinted and getting fog light; would like pressure gauge to replace clock, but problematic. Heard the expression, 'when I rest, I rust'? 'Rust never sleeps' is another way to put it.

Point is, nothing gets better with disuse, rubber compresses, hardens, etc. All electric power probably will dominate around 2025 - 30 too.

Therefore, drive it as much as possible; to work, to play: we're at the end of the ICE age (internal combustion engine) & the start of fuel cell world.

250K in 10 years, anyone?

I waited till 300 miles and put my GTM Super Charger on it and don't look back

I drive all my cars like I stole them from the start.:icon17::driving:

It took me about 2 month's to hit 1200 miles.

Plan to use it up

Don't know but in the first week or two if the weather holds. No Zee yet but on order. In 38 years driving will be the first car I bought for passion rather than practicality. All the same plan to drive it like the others and use it up. I figure it is still a car and just like me is going to be scrap one day. Meanwhile I plan to enjoy using both as intended. The measure of value obtained will be the memories made. I envy the young guys with the good sense to get at least one fun car while young.
