That being said...how much do you guys think a block replacement would cost if say, after 150k+ miles, the engine has some sort of failure? Worth it?

Replace or rebuild? I had my engine rebuilt in LA with a 2 year unlimited mile warranty for $2.2k?

Went over 26K recently in my 2.5 years of driving my 09. I mostly drive with SRM off, I would like to think I shift smoothly but are you high mileage guys preserving the clutch by driving with it on all the time? I like heel-toeing but am a practical person when it comes to going the distance on wear-parts.

I plan on driving my Z into the ground and then rebuilding it. I'll never sell her mwahahah

Ha OP I remember in another mileage thread you were at ~71k. I'm now at 55K and have had 0 issues as well. I'm debating on whether or not to run the **** out of it for a few thousand miles to make sure everything's good before the power train warranty runs out.

Probably better to have it happen before the warranty runs out than after. I'm at 45k, but my driving has significantly reduced now that I'm done with school. My school was 30 miles away from home and 40 miles from work and now I just drive like 10 miles to work.

Damn that's a lot, a forum member has about that much mileage or mate even more at this point and it's still holding up with no issues.

Damn, that is clean. Do you not have any bugs or rain where you live? Nice work. What's your secret to keeping it that clean?

garage kept and yes there are tons of bugs here. there are lots of fields and farmland south of where i live on the way to work and i just try and stay on top of cleaning it (about once a week) and keep a good coat of wax up front

just curious, how many sets of tires have you went through and which brand/model is your favorite for both performance and longivity?

this next set on the rear will be the 6th set i've ran on the rear, currently the 3rd on the front. started with the stockers till about 7500 on the rear and went with nitto invo's. while they are cheap and sticky, they sound horrible toward the end of their tread life. instead of going the cheap route i went with a more costly tire and got a harder compound. i've been running the michelin pilot sports a/s ever since and will never buy anything else. i don't track the car and i have not seen any loss of grip with these tires. they also last 3 times as long as others and ride/sound the best of any tire i have ever bought.
