I'm right around the $2500 mark. That might go up to like $4-5k after I get my future mods, wheels and oil cooler.

alcheng 03-19-2012 11:28 AM

Just like my credit card statement, don't want to think about it, don't want to look at it.... :wtf2:

My_third_Z 03-19-2012 04:48 PM

With the 85 votes so far, I did a rough estimate of the total we have spent as a group....Almost $600k, and an average of just over $7k. We are singlehandedly turning the economy around! Nice job guys.

roplusbee 03-19-2012 05:25 PM

That is good news for me personally. Now, instead of me thinking all of my Z expenses were just simple extravagances, I will now think that I am performing my social duty to the economy at large. Next time when a box from Z1 or Motorsport or Stillen arrives to my house and my wife says "Another Z part?!?!?!?", I will smile and sy "Just being a good citizen, baby and doing my part".

With whats in my sig plus the StopTech rotors, Project Mu Pads, Z1 SS brakelines and Koni Yellows that are sitting here awaiting install im at a solid 8k. It would be double that if I didnt talk myself out of forced induction, for now.

Waiz 03-19-2012 06:00 PM

What's funny is that I say I'm not going to buy anything else and then I see something new and I can't help myself :icon17:

Koni, Koni, Koni, Koni -- I still hear them calling their siren song to me.

lol I may get those eventually, too, although after throwing in an oil cooler, new wheels, and new tires, I realized that I have to put some serious cash into my beater before I can start hacking away at suspension.

kenchan 03-19-2012 06:06 PM

im over $5K but under $10K. dont know exactly.. dont really care actually. :icon17:

birdmanx1 03-19-2012 06:52 PM

Well over 20K and I haven't counted new rims... yet. The numbers would have been much more beyond that had it not been for my lady and close buddy. :icon17: Paid for mods cash so it's all good.

You could tell her you're being a good hubby because the box contains Juke parts

alcheng 03-19-2012 07:19 PM

I think no matter how much we have spent on our Z, it is fine...

If you setup a poll in the Ladies Lounge about how much they have spent on bags & shoes, you probably have to add an extra or two "0" behind each choices....

Bro, we are all good :tiphat:

Baer383 03-19-2012 09:35 PM

I'm @ 25k and I do all my own work.:icon17:

ZInferno0248 03-19-2012 10:22 PM

I really didn't want to think about the total, but I voted and just realized that my Z plus the mods very nearly ='s a slightly used GTR. :(
But... it has been fun.

That's the way I look at. Yeah, it's an expensive passion, but it is fun. And for those of us that do some of the work ourselves, it is a huge source of pride and self-satisfaction. Can't put a price on those.

Agreed. I enjoy the anticipation and the install of the mod's even more than the mod's themselves. It's an escape for me.

dAvenue 03-19-2012 10:39 PM

I've put 10K into mine. It's the most expensive hobby I've ever had and it's by far the most rewarding too.

memorylasts 03-20-2012 02:53 AM

ClemsonWill 03-20-2012 02:41 PM

I'm in the 10-15k range as well.

LunaZ 03-20-2012 02:52 PM

My photography expenditures have just surpassed Z mods LOL!

SPOHN 03-20-2012 03:20 PM

I would been over thirdy if it wasnt for me doing all my own work. I could only imagine what it's been with all the maintenance and tracks days I've put in. Come next week I'll have over thirdy. A lot of goodies that are going to be ordered. So be watching out. I still have some things sitting in the shop I need to install.

shaun66 03-20-2012 06:52 PM

My car is stock :ugh2: Makes me feel good seeing this thread though :bowrofl:

Do I remember seeing you post that you will be at ZDAYZ?? If so I look forward to seeing what you have done with your Z:tup:

I too have done ALL the work on my car myself and will continue to do so. Only thing I have paid for is obviously the tune. If I paid for all my installs I would def be over 10k. Part of the reason that I love modding is doing it myself. Uber satisfying to do your own wrenching and then drive and feel the finished product.

I'll defiantly be there for sure. I hope I can remember everyones screen name by then.lol. Yea I've only paid for my cornor balance, LSD install, and tune.

roplusbee 03-20-2012 07:33 PM

If I would have had time, I would have done my own install as well. Traveling as much as I do, kinda put a damper on that idea. Maybe when I get to my next assignment, if I don't get out!
