You cannot jam radar legally. That is an FCC violation. You can jam LIDAR, though, and the excuse is that your system is meant as a parking aid, which is complete BS, but the legal loophole works for the manufacturers.

Correct, most systems focus on LIDAR but there are some which disrupt most radar and then you can flip it off after you slow down.
Which I have seen done and the average cop will just think it was equipment malfunction but you get the occasional one who knows better.

FCC violations are no joke. I would rather get the traffic citation. The only way to legally jam radar is "passive jamming" like RAM coatings, etc.

Well to be a FCC violation, the frequency must be licensed to the Law enforcement County/City/State using it. I highly doubt that the radar frequency they are using is licensed. Just saying..

Friend of mine mentioned some type of clear coating you can paint your vehicle or maybe it was just the front that's supposed to fracture laser beams and make it impossible for them to get an actual reading on you, anyone heard of this ? Can't remember the name of it. He did say it was quite expensive to do as well and said there was a huge fine if you got caught using it.

Veil, and there is no fine, but it will stain the **** out of your paint. It is only minimally effective, if that. It's meant to give you another 1/4 second or so to jam the LIDAR.

exactly, and I can't imagine this method of enforcement would be easy to prove in a court of law. Does a patrolman have to pull you over and give you the ticket or can they just mail one to you?

yea it would seem like it would be hard to prove in court. but when its your word against a law officer's in front of a judge, you never really get a fair shake lol. eh, ill just keep it to a 5 over max and try not to draw attention to myself!

This state. It sucks. Try as you might, you just can't make enough excuses for a state that takes in as much tax as LA does (I believe we are #25 for tax generated) and has the shittiest of everything. It's not for want of money.

Its so funny that our police can't recover our cars when they are stolen. When they break into your home? There is no budget to get prints to see if they can identify the thief. Domestic violence goes uncharged most of the time... They can't solve 90% of most ID theft even though there's a paper trail... human trafficking is a rampant problem and our little girls and sisters are being kidnapped and raped and taken for prrostition and these cases go unsolved... but our police can write the fk out of a ticket though. Million dollar aircaft. Multi million dollar camera systems?????. yeah ok. Its the biggest joke going. Police are profit mongers for politicians needing a fat pocket.

When I see them solving REAL CRIMES and "Truely Protecting" our citizens I will salute every police car I see... Its easier to write summonses and get paid than it is to solve true crime. They don't get promoted for solving cases. They get promoted for writing tickets.
