Looks really good, since sits a weekend car for you, I am leaning towards the Viper with a change of wheels :) lol It looks extremely clean.
If you actually would drive more during the week I'd say stick with the Z |

Good luck with your decision. |
I love my 370 Roadster, BUT the Viper is another league. VIPER!
|
I'm not really a fan of the Gen III vipers (convertible only)... Love the 96-02 GTS and the 06-10 Coupes. BUT.... a Viper is a Viper any way you put it, so I would say lose the Z and go V-10!
|
pretty much what MJB said! I love the GTS.
... but as long as it has this: http://cimages2.carsforsale.com/3257...F5A2598_25.jpg I don't think you can go wrong  p.s. I'm not talking about the K&N sticker ;) |
all the post make a ton of sense but there's no way to compare the two...
you can get 2 loaded 370's for the price of a viper... of course i'm talking new... the viper is a totally untamed beast i'm not putting them down but imho there only good for the track. as a dd a dump truck would be better.... but on a strip or track first class |

get the viper... NOW. its a freaking viper for crying out loud. if each of you doesn't turn into a 10 year old when thinking of that car, then get your pulse checked
/thread... |
Do it. You've had the Z and enjoyed it.
|
Sample the viper, but keep in mind that its truly a toy. Expensive at that.

I'd get the Viper btw. Weekend car  After you get it you can show me at the next cars n coffee :D |
Go with a Viper, if you are going to get a viper (which i think you should) get the Gen 3 or Gen 4 engine.
As for the maintenance costs. On my SRT-10 Ram, it cost $150 for a oil change and $120 for spark plug change (thats just parts since i do my own work) Thats the only price quotes i can give you since those 2 things are pretty much the only thing that is the same on the car. If you talk to tony at JTSVP he can hook you up with parts if/when you get a Viper. |
Have you sat in it? How tall are you? I'm 6'1" and can't find a good seating position in them. I'm either looking over top of the windshield (convertibles) or hunched over to look through the windshield, for that reason it would be a big no for me.
The interior is very low end, bad fit and finish, but if you're not worried about that, and if you want something that looks cool and goes like stink, I say go for it! |
