Takeda Attack Intakes $400 - Just Ordered Mine

1 Attachment(s)
I posted this in the intake/exhaust section also but I think this area may get more traffic so I just wanted to let everyone in on the deal. Hope the admins don't get mad lol... But anyhow, I just ordered my new Takeda Attack intakes for the Z a few minutes ago. Auto Anything has them cheaper than anybody with free shipping and they have 2 great discount codes going right now. The 10% off one expires in a few days but the $40 off is good throughout March. And to beat that if you can find it cheaper anywhere else in a years time, send Auto Anything the link and info of the cheaper and they will pay the amount of difference from their advertised price and the competitors.

2009-2012 Nissan 370Z Cold Air Intakes - Takeda TA-3017P - Takeda Air Intake Systems

Discount Codes
10% off Orders $300 or More + Free Shipping expires 3-9-12
Code: MARCH1

$40 off Orders $350 or More + Free Shipping expires 3-30-12
Code: SPRING40

So I guess after all the scam bs I went through everything came out terrific. I got scammed for $400 with the used G3's, got my money back, found this deal the same day, and it only cost me $0.95 for brand new Takeda's over the used junk. My total was $400.95 shipped to my house :happydance:

Everything happens for a reason... Hit that rep button for finding this killer deal guys... Pretty good for a rookie Z owner

How do you figure that?

Don't worry about that. From my knowledge I have not seen any dynos from this intake on the site so he is assuming. Lots of G3 huggers on here. I have some technical questions about the single filter from a fluid dynamics perspective but it could potentially be just as good as the G3's only testing will tell. Do a pre and post install dyno to give the forum some actual data to go off rather than assumptions. Hope it works well for you.

ummm... where do the MAF's go? Way up by the TB's?

Oh I ain't worried about his $.02. You know what they say about opinions, they're just like A holes, everyone's got one lol. And I wish I could do a before and after dyno but there is no dyno here in farm country :shakes head:

lol, i went looking for the slot myself. hahaha. perhaps this is just a generic rendering...

so having a single long filter is better than dual cones?

wheee! 03-08-2012 10:10 PM

dunno.... seems to me there would be competing draw forces for each side of the intake.

kinda like a chinese finger trap!

and the tubes rocking from the engine... the piping and couplers will need to take the entire force as the tubes would not rock individually to release movement.

not sure...maybe it's better that way?

Maf slots are located close to the tb's, you can see the indentation

It's not an opinion. Do your research. :tiphat:

Its very difficult to say how the fluid dynamics of this will work but I do have similiar concerns. I think if I were to run this intake I would install a blockoff plate directly in the center of the large filter.
