The Supra tuned with a T-88 is just re-damn-diculous. Who cares if it has 65K on it. Depending on price that they are asking........you could easily O/H the Supra and be spending comparably the same end cost. (Depending on which 370 you bought) Keep in mind, your probably gonna take it up the when selling the Z. Every mile you increase on the odometer/is an equivalent decrease in resale value......sadly enough.

Im a Nissan guy, but you gotta pursue your dreams bro. Plus your wife is giving you a thumbs up.......are you serious? Go for the Supra.

Very true, the car I am interested in is BPU+ putting out ~420whp, stock ct28 snails.

I understand I would be taking a bit of a hit on the Z, but I would be regardless at some point down the line even if I keep it, it will never be worth what I paid for it. The Supra on the other hand...

I am not really loyal to any brand, so I don't mind the shift, I have owned quite a few Toyota's and Nissan's.

My Z is a base with the sports package in 6MT with a few small options (MSRP just shy of $34k), it has under 4k miles. I would probably list at $29k and go from there.

Beautiful R33 btw...

Default Good luck

Well, good luck.......whatever your choice. The Z is a very enjoyable drive, with upgraded curves that make her look beautiful. But, a dream is a dream. If you can make it a reality................

Indeed you may be right, but I would always regret it if I didn't at least entertain the possibility given the opportunity in front of me.

I have gotten quite accustomed to the rev match oddly enough, I hope to see this on more cars in the future.

Actually...those look like TE37s to me. This is what CE28s look like:

Not that it really matters. Either way, those are awesome looking rims on a very nice looking car.

Here's a pic of TE37 in 'Mercury Silver' (from the Rays website). I think that's what's on this Supra.

You're right Semtex, I knew I had one of them right. They are plainly the TE's

Default Tuned???Engine pics??

Thats a damn shame having such a large aftermarket intercooler installed with a stock front end. Kills the point with the lack of air flow. Car looks great on the outside.......cept for that stock front end, and Ive never been a huge fan of the Whale fin of a spoiler. Can you post up some engine bay pics?

The guy is pretty particular with keeping stock bodies, and I am personally not a huge fan of body kits, though a slightly larger, stock looking front end may be in order. I also am a fan of the wingless MKIV's and that would be something I would look into, though I can't knock the wing as it came from the factory that way.

Engine bay:

Looks good. Im not a fan of body kits either, just dont like a stock front end if your going to spend money on performance parts.......at least let them do their job at maximum efficiency.
Make sure you get all the info possible on current owners habbits. From the pic it looks like a shift lamp mounted on the dash. Dont need that unless your red-lining on a constant basis. 6.5K RPM dumps dont treat the clutch, tranny, rear end all that well either. Im only mentioning this cause its been mentioned previously about finding a knowledgable/reputable mechanic to work on the Supra. The inline 6 is a GREAT engine.....but its not going to withstand hard driving forever.
Glad Im not in your shoes..........I would be racking my brains out trying to make this choice. Then again, Im strictly Nissan, so I guess it wouldnt be that difficult for me. Good luck bro.

Yes thanks for highlighting the importance of probing for the history of the car. Surely, I can not avoid a Supra that has not taken any abuse. The gentleman that currently owns it rarely drives it however, as he has a modified 996 Turbo. At least I feel better that it was in the hands of an enthusiast and not some clueless kid.

A tough decision awaits me no doubt, I will update after I get a chance to spend some time with the car. I would like to think of it as a win-win for me though

Just curious why you didn't hold out for a Supra in the first place? I mean if it was your dream car and all...
