I sold cars for years and I still bought one. I had one for my M3 & 350z, it saved me a bunch of cash in the end. Although I do ONLY buy manufacture warranties. The rest are a big gamble.

I bought it. On a first year car model, the bugs are not always worked out, so I sleep better with the coverage.
The steering wheel lock would pay for half, when it fails. To each his own. Generally extended warranties are not worth it.
